Hi, I have a number of dimmers & switchlinc relays in my bedroom & at night, its really bright between the keypads, etc. Is there a way to dim the LED when the lights are off? I seem to remember with teh keypads years ago there was some combo to press buttons & make it dimmer. Any ideas on what I can do? Thanks, Rich

How do I use the admin config to reboot the ISY994?

I was just checking to see if there was any progress. I am thinking I should send my two thermostats back since they are still new in the box & within my 30 day window. Is there a beta or any ideas on if it will work?

I am curious if there has been any progress? I am deciding on if i should keep or ditch the thermostats.

I am confused, I just bought it from smarthome, do I have a beta product?

My problem is that the tripping is inconsitant. Sometimes it runs fine & other times, it just trips. I believe we wired it (I wasnt doing the wiring), so that it goes from the sub panel out of the GFI breaker, to 14 gauge wire, to the insteon switch, out to hte underwater pool lights. If I take the Insteon switch out, it works fine & doesnt seem to trip (as far as I can tell). Can I just buy a new breaker? Is it possible this 30 year old breaker is having some sort of issue? Is a new replacement breaker going to do the same thing? Do I buy a new sub panel & replace everything?

Hi, I am having a strange problem with a switchlinc relay. In the pool, I have an underwater pool light (2), I have a 15 amp GFI breaker connected. So most of the time it is fine, periodically, it will pop. The way its wired, there is a main coming into the house, a sub panel that goes to the pool house, then another sub panel coming off the pool house sub panel to handle the pool mechanicals. So if I am turning switches on & off manually, it seems to be fine. When I use my ISY (specifically mobilinc) to turn things on & off through the browser or app, every once in a while it pops the breaker. Its not turning on the underwater lights that does it, its turning on other things in the pool house & remote seems to be the issue or trigger. I did swap out the switchlinc for a switchlinc dual band dimmer & it was fine & i thought the issue was solved but this evening it popped again. Sometimes it will pop with the underwater lights on, other times, another device in the pool house triggers the 'pop'. MY question is if the powerline communication could be causing some extra bit of data that the GFI circuit is catching as a 'problem' & popping? Any suggestions would be great now that I tried two different insteon switches. I could also try putting a regular non-insteon swtich to see if the breaker pops, but since the issue is intermittent I suspect the Insteon switch is the problem. Thanks Rich

I think I like doing it this way vs a real scene because everytime I make a change I have to find hte remotelinc & put it into program mode. Hi, I have been working on a master "all off" command with a scene & a remotelinc2. I was curious if there is a way to make sure the device only does an off, vs an on or off? Sort of like toggling a keylinc to off only? Is there a way to do that with a remotelinc? Thanks, Rich

Just a follow up, I replaced the dual band dimmer with another dual band dimmer & all is well again.

Lee, I have an extra switchlinc dimmer. I am going to swap the switch for another I have & report back. I purchased about 100 switches of various styles from smarthome & a bunch of the on/off switchlincs have communication errors, its possible this dimmer is having an issue too.

I just looked now & it says the ramp rate is .01 seconds. I did just change it to a longer period - the ISY adjusted, then I changed it back to 0 & it still isnt working properly. Only fast on / fast off work. Should I change out the switch for testing?

Upon further checking, regular on & regular off do not work, fast on & fast off do work.

Lee, I am not running any antivirus at all on this machine. Not terribly secure but it does bypass all firewall issues. I just dont get why.

Hi, I have an ISY994I/IR & I am having a strange issue, with one of my dual band dimmers (insteon). So I have Mobilinc, the java app, etc access. If I press on or off within the ISY java app, the status never changes but the lights do go on & off. If I use Mobilinc, the same thing happens (I can change hte lights). If i turn a light on with the ISY, while the ISY software doesnt register the change, Mobilinc registers the change immediately. What is going on do you think? The light does what it should but doesnt report back to the ISY. Thanks, Rich

So if you purchase a Isy994 with zigbee, can you add zwave? Or is it one or the other?
