Hi, I upgraded from a 4.x version of the ISY to the 5.3.2 so I can use the ISY app on my phone. I have a light dual band switchlinc on/off version 45 & I dont know why but it is in a never ending loop of on/off over & over. I am a bit confused - i can turn it on & off with the java program & of course it will just continue its on / off routine. Any ideas what I can do to fix this? Thanks, Rich

Hi, I have an "outside" scene which has all my lights for outside (C button most places). I have a program that works with some motion sensors - motion at night = lights on for 30 minutes, then off. A program for a driveway alarm, etc. Great during the winter when I am stuck inside, not so great these days. I would love a program I could initiate which would 'pause' these other programs for 4 hours & then auto enable them? Ideally, I could run "movie" program which would enable a specific set of lights only & disregard the other programs until either the time elapses, or I disable the program (movie night ends early). Any ideas how i could do that? Hi, I am trying to set a "Xbox" shutoff timer so we don't need to fight with my son about when it so time to be done. Ideally we can say shutdown the Xbox in 60 minutes or something like that. It avoids the conflict at the end. Thanks Rich

Im still a little confused. Where do I make a variable to have it go off via a timer - through the ISY itself? Can you give me an example program? or basic way to do this? If the device is basement appliancelinc - what is the best way to do it

Hi, I had a bunch of comm issues, installed a ton of filters & things seem good now. I have an attic scene, press keypad A, attic light on - that wasnt working for some reason. I right clicked on the devices and chose restore devices, that didnt work. I deleted the devices from the scene, and readded them and now it works. Thats no big deal due to the scene only having two devices, the outside lights are a lot more devices. Would a restore devices work better? Is it supposed to restore all scenes?

Hi, I have an outside scene to turn on & off all my outside lights. It is the "C" button on a number of keypads in my house. I have noticed that some keypads turn on, most (not all) lights, other keypads turn on most (again not all) lights. If I use mobilinc & press the on or fast on a few times, all lights do pop on. I have swapped the PLM & did a restore devices, restore ISY, etc. In my office, I have a keypad toggle on/off for all lights in that scene. I noticed that the scene wasnt restored, I had to manually delete, add the scene to get it working properly - I am hoping i can do something more automated for the Outside light scene. Thanks , RIch

Sorry - I think this is what i was/am confused on. What is the KPL LED Scene? Is this what you mean by a scene for each button for control?

So - you make a good point. Only issue is some of my house motion sensors (which look a bit different) are cameras in public areas - i dont want to 'freak' anyone out about a motion sensor in a 'private' area. However - maybe with some education it could pass the waf. That is a good point too. I wasnt looking to extend it. More if someone presses the button (to turn it off) the counter should go away so that if someone else walks in 29 minutes later and then presses the A button again, it shouldnt turn on & turn off a minute later (30 minutes from original start).

Hi, Thanks for the replies - this looks like it should work well! My only question is regarding the "Set KPL LED scene to ON" It looks like I need to create a scene for the Keypad buttons? I have not done that before but it might be a great idea to keep the lights in sync if i am going the program route vs scene route for the keypad buttons. I was thinking - i have 3 lights - center, mirror, accent. Maybe - center light should be linked via scene to the kpl on & off - this way if the ISY goes down for some reason at least some lights would work? Can I make a KPL LED scene will all responders, no controllers? Might be cool to do all KPL's in the house so they get cleared at night. Thanks, Rich

Hi – I am trying to use a program vs a scene using a keypad. Ideally, I am looking to do timers as lots of lights seem to get left on all the time. So – Press A, mirror light turns on, Press A again, lights turn off. Press A, lights on, 30 minute time, if no one presses anything, Mirror lights off. I think the program below would work for on and a walk away but not if someone presses A again to turn it off. What am I missing here? I would love to have the Keypad button turn off via the timer program but it looks like that would not work. Hi,. Is the mismatch firmware and UI that is causing the problem? I found another backup from February that I restored so I am sort of back online. How do I update the UI?

I did confirm that the four tap test is working properly and I added for access points and 6 lamplimc dimmers all over the house in the attempt to improve communications

So I rebooted the is why and the entire thing is empty in factory defaulted back to the admin username. The thing is totally empty and my three most recent backup files apparently are all non-functional. I was looking to roll back to a backup from 3 days ago and I guess this cause some sort of issue. So I guess before I fix communication so now need to fix how to restore this. I do have some other backups from earlier 4.x but my firmware is 5.0.16?

I am getting a bunch of flashing green which I am taking to think it is insteon communications. I am starting to wonder if my issues are related from going from 4.7 to 5 and I'm debating rolling back the firmware. All of my programs have disappeared which were functional up until the other day. I don't know if that means it's my SD card or what else that could possibly be. I bought a add on card for Z-Wave and was planning to install it maybe I should install the card installed the new SD card and try to restore?

One other question - my ISY programs. I am working on deleting some older devices I am not using anymore. My ISY programs page shows a lot of 'not loaded' out of memory?

I bought two more lamplinc dimmers - do i need to add them to the ISY for them to help with traffic reliability or can they just be plugged in & not added to the ISY? I figured they were better than just the access point since i could use them in the future if needed.

Thanks, my new 32gb card came today. How do i swap that in? Could the card be the issue? I do have a device which the LED is flashing - though that looks like communications to me but what do i know?

Hi, My setup has been working well for - years. I am having all sorts of communication problems & I cant figure out why. I replaced my PLM, moved everything around & I am still having issues. Some of the switches seem to be flashing often (communication traffic i think). I have done a restore PLM, Restore Devices, all sorts of stuff. Can someone help me start a good process to see what the heck is going on? Should I turn off breakers? I am really confused on what has changed. I have UPS's with filterlincs, filters everywhere - a TON of devices (maybe to many). Help!! Thanks, Rich

I will have to look at what I am using but i have a spare PLM - its as simple as plugging in the new PLM & then File / Restore PLM to rebuild?
