Hi, I use about 6 motion sensors throughout my apartment. And I actually use the ON ONLY command for the bathrooms. I use a second motion sensor to turn off the bathroom lights. So walk in it goes on and on only. Then when you walk out in the hallway there is another motion sensor with an ON ONLY setting but in it's case it actually turns off the bathroom lights. I did this so the bathroom lights don't turn off while your in there. And your right when the battery is going dead I found lights staying on. It actually makes me notice that something is wrong. So I call it a feature not a bug. I also have the ISY setup to send me a text message notifying me that the battery needs to be changed. I just purchased two Amazon wifi motion sensors. I haven't had the need or time to see how I would incorporate it into everything else. I have an extensive Alexa setup. I am using quite a few smart wifi power plugs and power strips. Along with Lifx, Nanoleaf etc. I haven't learned how to get the ISY to control those wifi devices. But via Alexa everything works pretty good. Rob

Hi, I read in a post somewhere here today that somebody was asking for help because he just purchased a new ISY Controller because his old one wasn't working correctly. He said he wanted to downgrade from 5 to 4 (firmware). He said the new controllers are being shipped out with the new version 5 of the firmware. So my question is this: Is it true if I order a new ISY it will come without version 5 firmware? I have been holding back from upgrading my ISY from 4 to 5 because it's a lot of work making sure the uograde converted all my programming correctly. So if I purchase a new ISY and it comes with version 5 of the firmware then I could slowly move all of my Automation from the old controller to the new one. After everything is switched I can then do an upgrade to the old controller to version 5 and then store it as a backup controller should anything happen to the new controller. (Plus it puts some money into Universal Devices coffers for all their hard work over the years!)

Hi, I noticed the A/V tab in the ISY Portal the other day. I never planned on using it. But I'm trying to do something and I think it best that I learn what it's function is for and how to use it. Does anyone have a link to a thread where we can learn how to use its functions? Thank you! Rob

Hi, I am have two head scratching issues. The first has to do with one module (wall dim switch) setting the lights to dim at around 12pm. I made a program that set my Hallway lights to the lowest dim level that would take place starting at 12AM and stay dimmed until 7AM. But now the lights are going dim at 12pm. But if manual trip the motion sensor that turns them on they go to full brightness. I double checked the ISY's clock and it was correct. I re-checked the program. Help! The second problem is I made a program that when I switch on the air conditioner it checks to see if a fan in a duct is on or off. If it's off turn it on. Then when you turn off the air conditioner it will turn off the fan duct. It works perfectly. Part of the reason it works is that I check the electric usage. If the active watts is above 0 the item is on. This all works perfectly and is terrific. I also have a program (and programs) that are set to perform a program when a IR Signal is received. Never had an issue. I can use my Harmony Remote to control as many as 40 IR commands. (We now have limited usage because Harmony now interfaces with some Home Automation) I was trying to get the IR program that turns on the fan duct by within the IR Program I call the test if on/off program for the fan duct. It won't work! I even move the IR if test to turn on the air conditioner into the program I have working above. It won't work. I should state that the IR program works with the Harmony The other program works with Amazon Echo. Any ideas Thanks Rob

Interesting, I am using Amazon Echo (I have a Google Home but really don't use as I invested heavily into Echo). I control all my lighting, correction all my LED lighting such as Magic Home, Nanoleaf, LIFX Beam (and LIFX Z Strips) and two other brands. Amazon Alexa now allows you to turn on or off items from the app itself if you don't want to interact verbally. But there are times when I want to get ISY involved in the operation. Here is an example (I'm just making this up): I have a doorbell module setup so when someone rings my door bell or opens my front door (via the Insteon Open/Close Sensor) I have it flash my foyer light and a light in my bedroom and then I have it send out a text message to my Android phone alerting me that someone came in the front door. I don't have to be even home for this. But I would like the ISY to turn on one of my LED'S lights that are connected to the network via a wireless module. Magic Home for example. You say there is a way to send an 'ON' command to that led wifi module. I have the ip address of that module. You said I need to use the Network Resources function. I currently use the ISY's Network Resources to send IR commands to my Global Cache - WF2IR iTACH - wifi to IR. I have one of these Global Cache units in each room. A total of 4 units. Each with its own IP address of course. So how do you send an ON command to the wifi LED controller assuming I have the IP address that. Which I do. What does the command string look like. Can you show an example I purchased a PI Rasberry but never did anything with it. It finally went into a box somewhere. At the time I got that Amazon came out with the Echo and my attention went there instead. Thanks! Rob

Hi, Not sure where I should post this question if this is the wrong place let me know or move it for me! Ok now that that is out of the way my question: I would like to control a couple of my wifi led lights. Right now I use the app (I'm on Android) that comes with a particular product. Example: led lights from the following companies called LIFX, Nanoleaf and Magic Home. All of these different companies and products are also integrated into Amazon Alexia (Echo). Everything works nicely. I love my ISY994 with Insteon and a few Z-Wave. Of course because of the work here by everyone the ISY can be also controlled by the Echo. However, there are times when I want the ISY to turn on a wifi device that is integrated with Alexa if a particular Insteon switch or Motion Sensor is activated or turned on. I'll use the Motion Sensor. If that is tripped off and sends the ISY an ON command have an Insteon light go on but I also want a particular wifi led to be turned on as well! I am not asking for the ISY to ask it to turn on the color blue just a simple on or off command. This could either be direct to the wifi device or send a command to Amazon Alexa/Echo. I think sending it to the Echo would be easier because the Echo interfaces with all these different products already. Maybe through IFTTT? OK hopefully I described what I would like to do! So if anyone knows if this can be done already please let me know the steps I need to take to accomplish this! Thank you so much! Rob Sent from my LG-LS997 using Tapatalk

All the 'Devices' now are located under 'Scenes'! Under version 3 they implemented Categories it seems. So there is an ISY and an Alexa Catagory. When we created a particular setup of a module we picked 'Scene' and not the actual 'Device'. See if this helps you. Rob Sent from my LG-LS997 using Tapatalk
-
Sorry, yes I did all of that. I found the issue. It seems there is a new catagory in version 3 and when I did Discover all devices they went into scenes. All of my device went into scenes Rob
-
I actually think I discovered the problem! Strange as it may be! Its seems all my devices were discovered but they had all been added to 'SCENES'! I went back to ISY Portal and sure enough there is a field that I never noticed before. At the top row where the labels are shown so that you know what you are seeing in that column. The field is labeled: ISY CAT (which I believe means Category) And next to that the label says: Alexa CAT (which I believe means Category) Everything in the Alexa Catagory is set to SCENE! I manually altered one or two devices to LIGHT and SWITCH. I then re-ran Discover All Devices in the Alexa app (I'm on Android). Sure enough those two devices now showed up and were removed from the SCENE section (Category). But to aid you here is my UID: Whoops! I'll send it to support as you requested! Thanks! Hi I am having the same issue but I am not yet on version 5* yet. I'm on 4.6.2 I believe is the latest version. When you ask if we set up spoken words what do you mean? I had placed words in the field over a year ago even though I know it did nothing. But never had an issue. Is that the problem? I just place a reply in another thread asking for help before I noticed this thread. Thanks for your help! Rob Sent from my LG-LS997 using Tapatalk

Hi all, Ok, I followed all the instructions to the letter! I disabled V2 and then I used a pc and went to alexa.amazon.com and did the 'Forget all Devices'! Then I enabled V3 and ran Discover All Devices. All devices not part of ISY (Universal Devices) were found but nothing I had set in my ISY Portal? Now not is there and of course means I am longer working. So what did I do wrong? Question: In ISY Portal under Amazon Echo I have the button on the extreme right that is labeled 'Live Update' is colored Green with a "check market! I have always assumed that is the correct setting. So what else do I need to do! Help please! Thank you! Rob Sent from my LG-LS997 using Tapatalk

Which Global Cache Product, iTach Flex IP or WF2IR iTach Wi-Fi to IR?
rlanza1054 replied to rlanza1054's topic in ISY994
Hi, I should say its been a long time since I logged into the forum. I went a bit crazy I know own 4 Global Cache iTech WF2IR. Yes, when you first get the units its a bit of a pain to get it to be reconfigured to be on your own WIFI SSID Network. Once you do that it all works. I used iLearn to record all the IR commands. Then you import (copy and paste) the commands into to the ISY994. I have a recorded IR commands from my Samsung Smart TV, my Pioneer Home Theater, my TWC Cable Box (sorry we are now Spectrum), my LG 24inch TV, my LG 27 Smart TV, my Viewsonic 13 inch TV's, my Frigidaire Air Conditioner, my Panasonic AC. And a few other devices. I really should just post the text file of all my recorded IR commands. I did not add every command to the ISY (in the Networking Resource area. I know have 6 Amazon Echo's throughout the apartment. And I also have a Harmony Hub in every room. Each room also has the Global Cache WF2IR. I now made it possible to run all 7 TV's from one cable bo (a DVR that can record 6 channels at the same time) I use two different devices to achieve that. I also have one Amazon Fire TV that can be played on all the TV's. All the Tv's are mount to the wall using those Gas Articulating Arm. Can be moved into any positions at will. I'm presently working on mounting my Samsung 65 inch TV on one of these arms. (See Omni Mount PLAY 70 and am using their DSK70 stud wall adapter). I'm building a fake wall with two by fours anchored to my plaster over cement wire mesh walls with butterfly toggles bolts. It will hold the Tv and it will also hold a floating media cabinet. Right now I'm recovering from an accident. I tripped over an extension cord and broke both my knee caps and one big toe. I won't be home until Jan 5th if all goes well. Ok, I guess if it helps I can provide how I did everything in the ISY. If you are geting busy. You probably didn't get the IR command recorded correctly. It took me sometimes 4 or 5 tries before I got a command to work correctly. After you use the iLearn, using the TEST option within the iLearn if it comes back with OK and actually does the command like turn on the tv. Make sure you name the command and save it. it get recorded into one text file. Then I do a copy and paste that recorded command into the ISY. Make sure you use that setting on the top as C.Escape. Paste then add the /r/l I think the position is important. I don't remember if its /l/r or /r/l but after you save it the ISY strips out the /l. Please make sure you save and update eveything before testing. I never get a busy as you are getting. If I am sending a string of commands to make sure they don't get lost or maybe the busy your getting, I add wait a 1 second between sending each command. Make sure you are using the blaster port and the blaster IR transmitter that comes in the box. It goes on Port 3. When recording with iLearn make sure you set to 1:3 with the Ip address. Sometimes it gets changed and youdon't realize it. The saved IR Command line at the beginning you should see that 1:3. I have sometimes changed it in the saved text files so I know its goes to the correct port. I've attached my iLearn text filefor you to look at. Rob TempIRdata.txt -
Hi all, Not sure what is going on today. But ISYPortal is unable to connect to my ISY I have never had a problem in over a year. My ISY admin console is saying there is a problem with pool.ntp org. My ISY Portal is saying that there is a problem and I need to go some place different. Before I go and change everything to find out where the problem is can some tell me if every thing is working now , Thanks Rob

Did they ever make iMeter Solo work with ISY994i software?
rlanza1054 replied to easytim's topic in ISY994
Just to double check with you: Are you saying with these AEON LABS AEOTEC GEN 6, we can grab the watt and kilwatt values after a query, within a program? Because I can't get the value with the GEN 1 version I have? Rob -

Thank but I know that is what to purchase since the Insteon iMeter is not available. I actually have one of the older models of the Aeon Labs Aeotec Z-Wave Smart, I think its only GEN 1. Before I purchase more of these, the model you are recommending, I still need to grab the wattage and kilowatts to be able to do what I tried to describe in my previous port. I want to be able to grab the values after a Query and place then into a variable to perform further actions based on the values. Right now it seems everyone is telling me to email it or grab it from the log fill (which I just diescovered it contained the info. But I need the value with the ISY to run IF THEN commands based on the value. It seem too difficult to me to then go outside of the ISY and get those value back into the ISY. It seems crazy that the ISY can displat the value be we cannot grab those value to work within our programs. Currently, we can only test if the value is above or below a value. In the programming it just has a drop down listing all the possible values it might have. I just want the value, then put it into a variable, perform a calculation and from the answer of that calculation perform an action. Rob If I can do that, then I will invest my money on purchasing these new Z-Wave devices (Aeon Labs Aeotec Z-Wave Smart). -

Almost forgot something important: I have figured out depending on Wattage value if the Air Conditoner is running the FAN only or if the Compressor is actually ON. So based on that information I can change settings on the air conditioner. Because I could tell accurately if the air conditioner is: On or Off If its only the FAN running or if the compressor is on. Just by the values of the wattage value that is queried at the time I want to do something. Remember, I've been using an air conditioner as a example. I can apply all that learned from these wattage value to other devices such as entertaiment systems which are primarily IR devices. devices that only receive Infrared commands and cannot talk back. But looking at wattage value you can tell the state of these devices. Rob -
Did they ever make iMeter Solo work with ISY994i software?
rlanza1054 replied to easytim's topic in ISY994
Just to clarify: I do not have a thermostat! I have a standard 'Window' Air Conditioner! I live in a 15 story building that was built in 1957. It is a 'Coop'! Until a month ago our electric usage was built into the maintenance, we did not pay for electric usage. They installed 'sub-meters' in each apartment and we are now charged and paying separately for our electric usage. Originally we did not even have Air Conditioners. My father had to run an AC line to the Window so that we had an outlet to plug the Window Air Conditioner in. The reason I want to be able to access the Kilowatts ans Wattage values is for two reason. Getting the Kilowatts allows me to calculate the cost of electric for the month. That is easy, if I can email the kilowatt usage each 30 days I can calculate the usage for the month. The reason for getting the value of the Wattage is totally different and more complicated. If I can get the value of the wattage into a variable, then I can look at it and do a IF statement depending on its value. A Query is required to get the current value. For example say IF WATTAGE is not 0 ((zero), actually even if the Air Conditioner is OFF it uses a little AC which is required to respond to IR commands. So if Air Wattage is NOT zero, then its turned ON. I know for a fact it is ON. I can use that information to properly turn on or off the Air Conditioner. Bear in mind the IR Power Command is only a toggle command. So I need to verify its true ON/OFF state. I can even control the Air Conditioner's Temperature accurately. Remember again this is a Window Air Conditioner with a Digital Display and Controls. So you can set the temperature to any value between 60 and 90 degrees. I have figured out how to set the Air Conditioners Temperature accurately. I do this by a rather insane way but it works. Since I know the A/C can only be set between 60 thru 90 degrees, I send 13 temperature down IR commands, the A/C can only go to 60 degrees so sending more IR Temperature commands than 60 does nothing, it doesn't hurt to send the temp dwn ir command at 60, it just gets ignored. So now I know I'm at 60 degrees, I can then send the appropriate amount of temperature temp UP commands to get the temperature value I want. So I have a program that at midnight it resets the temperature to 78 degrees and at 10a AM it then reset the temperature back to 72 degrees. I have this setup and working now. . I need to go back to kilowatts. In order for the ISY to do most of the work, if I am allowed to pulls the kilowatt value into a varieable, it make life and programming simpler. I can take the kilowatt value put it into a variable and the do a calculation on it to figure out the cost pluggimg into another variable the cost of kilowatt per hour value. My coop has provided me with that rate. Its now 21.5 cents per kilowatts. So each 30 days I can calculate the cost of the Air Conditioners. To go a step further, if I get the Weather Module, I can read the temperature outside and decide whether or not to turn ON the Air Conditioner or not. And doing a Query on thw wattage values, turn on or off accurately because if I turn on or off the air conditioner manually with its handheld remote, the ISY won't turn on something that is already on because if it sent a ir power toggle commands it could by mistake turn the a/c off. So those are the reasons to trying to get these values into a variable. I guess if I purchased the ELK module I might be able to do some of this, but I have asked and am not allowed to attach a enerage usage meter directly into my circuit breaker box. So the is the reason for using these Energy Meters. I can no longer purchase the Insteon iMeter, they are discontinued and not available for purchase, So I am forced to use the Z-Wave plug-in modules. My ISY has the Z-Wave already and I did purchase one Z-Wave Power On/Off Switch which comes with an Energy Meter. Seems all Z-Wave products come with Energy Meters built-in by default. So if I can get these values into variables to complete the programming I want to do, I would purchase more of these Power On/Off switchesI(that come with the Energy Meter). Have I explained all of this in a way that is understandable? Rob PS I have run into one issue, when trying to setup an IF command, there does not seem to be a way to have a Query done within the IF command to make an accurate IF command. For example, I need to run a query first then I can do IF wattage is at a certain level, say above zero, I then know the state of the air conitioner to either turn it off or on in a THEN part of the program. So do you know how to do a query on just one device prior to doing the IF or is there a way to tuck in the query to the IF area of the program? -
Did they ever make iMeter Solo work with ISY994i software?
rlanza1054 replied to easytim's topic in ISY994
I need to ask another question. I have not looked at the link you posted for me, just yet. I do remember that version 5 will have some more functions available so we can do more with these Energy Meters. I am waiting for that. The question I have is writing a program that test if my air conditioner is turned on or of. Below is a lot of explanation before I actually get to the actual question, sorry about that in advance. I have programs written to change the temperature settings working great. Here is how I do that. Sine my ac has a digital unit. These units can only be set from 60 - 90. So knowing that to set to any temp, I send a temp DWN command 31 times. So if the unit was set at 90 it would get set to 60 since I sent the DWN command enough times to get it to the lowest point which is 60 degrees. If the unit was set at 70 degrees and I send the 30 DWN commands the AC cannot go lower than 60 so it doesn't hurt anything to have DWN commands sent. Then I send enough Temp UP commands to get to the temp setting I want. I wrote programs to set the temp for 68, 70, 72, 74 and 78. Works perfectly. I now have the AC raise temp to 78 at 1am and then go back to 72 at 10am. This way I can save so money on electric while I sleep but be comfortable when I wake up. So now the next step for all of this is to have a method to verify if the air conditioner is actual ON or OFF. I have figured out how to verify if the air conditioner is ON or Off and even if ONLY the Fan is on or is it actually cooling. I do that by looking at the WATTS. If the WATTS is over +10 volts, the AC is ON. If the WATTS is over +200 but below +1000 only the Fan is running, Anything above that and the compressor is on and the Cooling is on. I did discover that even when the AC is OFF it is still drawing 1/2 WATT of electric, I assume it has to use some to be able to detect the IR from the remote. Oh, I should have stated that I did get the Global Cache iTach WIFI2IR working great. I learned all the necessary commands. I splurged and now have 4 Global Cache units one in each room. Now to my actual question. When I the STATUS command to check the WATTS does the ISY do a quick Query first before providing the WATTS? Or do I have to run a Query first to make sure of the current wattage? It seems there is no way to have a Query happen in the IF portion of the program. That is what I'm have a problem with. I need to be sure of the actual current status to be certain before I do a THEN statement in the program. in the past everyone said the Status might not contain the current status, but that is for Light switchs. So do see my issue. If when I look at status to get the current WATTAGE if the ISY is doing a fast Query just before providing the watts, then I do not need to worry and just write my THEN statement. But if you say it may not be the current status without doing a Query first, then how do I write a program that performs the Query provides me with the watts used currently and then perform whatever based on the watts value? I hope I made sense and explained clearly. Thanks. Rob PS Let me know if you want to see what I've written so far? -
Did they ever make iMeter Solo work with ISY994i software?
rlanza1054 replied to easytim's topic in ISY994
Hi, I'm posting this question here rather than creating a new topic. Its regarding getting the information from the Query of a iMeter Solo or a Z-Wave Power Switch / Energy Meter. I looked and I'm not sure its even possible. I want to grab the value in both the WATTS field and the Kilowatts field and place those value into a Variable (something I never worked with). It seems the Query can get the information. I know the iMeter Solo is an abandoned product and no further development will be done with that. But the Z-Wave devices are not abandoned. And actually they just came out with a newer product that has outlet/energy meter functions. So here is one thing I want to do. I want to Query a Energy Meter and get the values of the two fields (WATTS and KILOWATTS). I want to take one of the values KILOWATTS and put it into a variable and them either email me the value or if possible do a calculation to get monthly usage and costs. Kilowatt times energy cost rate equals cost and then email me that information. I notice than right now there is only a predefined drop-down list of wattage's when doing status. I just need the value and get it into a variable or simply email me that value at the least. So is it possible? If so how do you get that value out, its somewhere in the isy since its displaying it!!!?? Thanks Rob -

Which Global Cache Product, iTach Flex IP or WF2IR iTach Wi-Fi to IR?
rlanza1054 replied to rlanza1054's topic in ISY994
Great Success! Got it all working! I now have the ISY able to control the two air conditioners (one in the livingroom and the other in the bedroom). Each going to two different Global Cache iTach WF2IR units. Now that I have it working I will be adding other IR commands. A few more for the Air Conditioners and I guess I'll play around with adding the TV, Cable Box and Home Audio System. One thing I am trying to figure out how to do. I have a CCF file for my Frigidaire Air Conditioners. Which has the complete set of commands for the entire remote. However, I am having trouble find the correct utility to convert the CCF file of separate command codes into HEX codes so the I can convert those HEX codes into Global Cache codes. If I can do that I don't have to use the iLearn software to record each of the codes manually. I tried several utilities offered on www.remotecentral.com website but either I don't know how to use those utilities or they just don't do what I need. Does anyone know how to do that? I will attach the ccf file in the post for anyone to take a look at and maybe do the conversion for me. I also am going to post my setup so anyone else can use it if they want. I did an export and it made a .zip file but when I tried to unzip it manually Windows gave an error message, so I'm not sure if this is the way to share it. I hope I'm not posting something that is insecure or has my info in it? But just in case the Frigidaire Power Toggle code that I'm using is: sendir,1:3,1,39308,1,1,354,176,23,21,23,21,23,21,23,65,23,21,23,21,23,21,23,21,23,65,23,21,23,65,23,21,23,65,23,65,23,65,23,65,23,65,23,21,23,21,23,21,23,65,23,21,23,21,23,21,23,21,23,65,23,65,23,65,23,21,23,65,23,65,23,65,23,1614,354,88,23,3771,354,88,23,3771,354,88,23,3771,354,88,23,3771,335,107,4,3900/r/l Thank you! Which Global Cache Product, iTach Flex IP or WF2IR iTach Wi-Fi to IR?
rlanza1054 replied to rlanza1054's topic in ISY994
Since that last post I want to update on what I have working right now I attached the IR Blaster cable on port 3 of the Global Cache iTach WF2IR. I tested it with the Anymote software (on Android) which was very easy to setup to talk to the Global Cache iTach. I set the Anymote to send the commands to the Global Cache IP address I set the iTach WF2IR to use. I set the Anymote to use port 1:3 which tells the Global Cache to use port 3 (the Blaster port) to transmit the IR command for the Fridgidare Air Conditioner. I sent a Power Toggle command. It works perfectly. The only trouble I'm having with the Anymote software is with the Amazon Echo integration. It works but I'm having trouble having it understand my naming of the remotes. A typical problem the Amazon Echo has. Since the Global Cache iTach WF2IR works so great, purchased a second unit. I'm probably crazy because I actually own 3 Harmony Hubs and Remotes (two Ultimate's ans one Elite, I also have an older Harmony Link but that is not support by Amazon Echo or IFTTT). I just don't like that that I have to setup an Activity to do a simple Power Toggle for one device, the Anymote software integrates directly into the Amazon Echo, no need to pass the commands to IFTTT. Anymote is an actual direct skill offered on the Amazon Echo. Just like the ISY994 has a direct connection to the Amazon Echo, ISY994 is a skill on the Amazon Echo. But what I ultimately want to get going is to have the ISY994 talk directly to the Global Cache. I have been reading the tread on how to program that in the Network Module of the ISY994. I was looking for an example to of doing that where I can Import into my ISY994 to learn how to program it. And lastly, I did learn how to record the Frigidaire Air Conditioner codes using Global Cache's iLearn software, I never had an issue doing that. Rob -
Which Global Cache Product, iTach Flex IP or WF2IR iTach Wi-Fi to IR?

No it can send IR commands -
Hi, I'm so glad I finally found this thread, I've been asking around. I just purchased and received my Global Cache iTach WF2IR unit. I managed to get it setup on my network and working, I think. I also am testing using the iTach using Android software AnyMote. AnyMote has the ability to use the iTach WF2IR device. In my case I want at least (to start with) to control my Air Conditioner with a simple Power Toggle IR command. I added the iTach to my AnyMote software and luckily it already had in its database my Frigidaire AC. I setup a PWR Toggle command. I then sent the IR command and the proper port actually flashed as the command was sent, so communication is working correctly. My only failure was that I never plugged in the Blaster IR cable into the iTach. So of course, without it plugged in the AC was never going to turn on or off. I will test that very soon. I should say that the AnyMote's setup for adding the iTach asked for the IP address and the Port to use, since I would be using the Blaster function it needs to be set to port 3. It also allowed me to enter the logon name and password. When I put the iTach on my network I also added a logon name and password to get at least some security on it. I read all the instructions on page one of this thread and will try to following it hopefully getting good results. I got the iTach so the ISY would be able to control it or send those IR commands. I read that someone here got their Samsung TV to turn on/off. I too own a Samsung TV. is it possible that someone who has it working to EXPORT their setup so I might try to IMPORT to make it easier to get it going? Maybe those setup are posted here already? Finally, I have the ISY Helper Module and I think in purchasing that it gives me automatically the Networking Module features. Is that true or do I still need to purchase the Network Modules to get this to work? Thank you so much! Rob
