  1. Sounds good.
  2. Installed with no problems.
  3. It is their line of Insteon Devices. Sold and installed by Insteon Professional Installers. http://www.smartproline.com/ They have some devices like thermostat with the Insteon adapter built in and a hard wired Dual Band phase coupler.
  4. I am glad things are going to be corrected for you. There are not that many companies willing to bend over backwards for their customers. Universal Devices is another one that is willing to go the extra mile to assist users.
  5. v28 is the firmware revision in the adapter. So it will never change to a different number.
  6. The manual for the v2 adapter has a chart of differences from the older v1 units. http://wiki.smarthome.com/index.php?tit ... %29_Manual It does look like the v2 versions have many added features the v1 versions are lacking. Since you purchased this recently and the vendor sent you a v1 model that was at least a year old {from Tom's reply to you in the Smarthome Forums}. I would ask for a replacement.
  7. Try unplugging it for at least ten seconds. While holding the set button plug it back in. Keep holding the set button for ten seconds then release the set button.
  8. Update. I tried to add a new module to the My Lighting Tree and Java flagged an error. I have seen this in a few of the recent beta updates. I just never wrote down the message to report. Java has discovered application components that could indicate a security concern. Name: 99i Administrative Console. Block yes or no. I chose No. I did follow the instructions and remove the certificate as part of the update.

The JV Engineering XTBM X10 signal meter is also a good one. I have one myself. It does sound like you have an X10 signal problem. Could be noise or a few signal absorbing devices.

You should use the Link a ControLinc choice in the Link Management Tab. The six digit Insteon ID is also needed as you have indicated.
  11. Did you replace the PLM? If the PLM was replaced. Did you use the Restore Modem PLM choice in File Menu to get the replacement installed correctly?
  12. The OR 992i and OR 994i are explained in this thread. http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewtopic.php?t=5581 Basically units to support utility companies trials and not publicly sold yet.
  13. ISY99i version. I didn't see anything not working with my Pro and older revisions.
  14. Installed fine. Will keep an eye out for any strangeness.
  15. Rand; Thanks for the quick response. I maybe doing this shortly myself.
  16. If they have an electronic ballast. It could be a possibility. Try communicating with them Off as oberkc suggested.
  17. Didn't you replace an Icon with a Switchlinc that has more features? I thought the interface would only replace a device with a same type device. Rand will know better but normally would an Icon be replaced by a Switchlinc through the ISY screen?
  18. Installed fine for me. Will keep an eye out for quirks.
  19. Normal. Mine is the same way. Last command from the button. Is what shows.
  20. Do you have the Pro Version? You can delay automatic writes and automatic battery device writes with the Pro version.
  21. A scene test is the worst case test. It sets the hop count to one. I believe three hops is normal. So a scene test can fail and the scene may still work with normal commands. The test shows marginal communications that can slow things down or why a module may sometimes miss a command.
  22. Look in My Lighting. On the Type Column. The device part number description and the v.?? at the end is the firmware version number.
  23. On my 2413S PLM the LED is a dim Green when nothing is being processed. When the ISY99i is sending commands it flashes a brighter Green and when there is Insteon traffic. It briefly goes out. I believe the Red Green sequence is when you are doing the communications test between Dual Band Units. To verify proper communications on both phases of the homes wiring. Yes nothing much happens if there is no communications between the PLM and the ISY99i. I would suspect a bad PLM myself.
