And now, an hour late it's working! I can't see anything in the log file that show what changed and I haven't restarted the NS or anything.

After updating to Climacell Version 2.0.3 today, I am now having the 'Current observation update failure', similar to what tmorse305 described. I.e. my Forcast0 data is fine. I am running IOX 5.8.3 and PG3x Version 3.2.22. I also use the ELK and Bond node servers and they seem to be fine, so my problem is just with Climacell. I've previously been using Climacell without problem for more than a year. Any ideas?
-
Just to clarify, I was experiencing the the same symptoms as described by sumguy in the first post of this thread. Yesterday (08/14/2023) I received a reply to my support ticket from Michel that PG3x 3.2.0 was being released yesterday and would address the problem(s) I was hitting. And after upgrading to PG3x 3.2.1 yesterday, all my node servers are currently up and running correctly.
-
Now I've hit this same problem. I've filed a support ticket and will wait for UD support. I just wanted to document for others that this problem is still occurring. I'm on IoX 5.6.4 and PG3x 3.1.36
-
I've bitten by this same issue too. I've been using 7 as my 'Forecast Days' for a year or more and it's worked fine. I suspect a 'policy' change at Climacell, but I don't know when. I've now switched to a 4 day forecast request. Thanks for posting this!
-
I think I've found the problem: my configuration setting of shortPoll 120 and longPoll 600 was exceeding my hourly and daily allowance of updates with my default (free) Tomorrow.io account. The allowance with a free Tomorrow.io account is 500/day, 25/hr, 3/sec. Now that I've changed to shortPoll 300 and longPoll 3600, I'm seeing no more errors. And updates of current weather ever 5 minutes and forecasts every hour are more than sufficient for my needs.

I've been using the Climacell node server with my Polisy for several months and it is working well. But I don't have any explanation for this recurring error in the log files. This error is logged every hour at the exact same time. At first I thought that was just a one off header check error, but it happens precisely once per hour and I use shorPoll 120 (2 minutes) and longPoll 600 (10 minutes). The normal shortPoll and longPoll calls seem to succeed without errors. So I don't know what's being called once per hour. My system firmware version and parameters are: Polisy 5.4.5 PG3: 3.1.15 Cilimacell Node Server: 2.0.1 Climacell configuration parameters: shortPoll 120, longPoll 600 Anything I can do to resolve this? Or maybe there is discrepancy between the Node Server and Tomorrow.io? 2022-12-04 09:42:54,058 Thread-704 udi_interface ERROR query:query_conditions: Current observation update failure 2022-12-04 09:42:54,059 Thread-704 udi_interface ERROR query:query_conditions: ('Received response with content-encoding: gzip, but failed to decode it.', error('Error -3 while decompressing data: incorrect header check')) 2022-12-04 09:44:54,045 Thread-705 udi_interface ERROR query:query_conditions: Current observation update failure 2022-12-04 09:44:54,046 Thread-705 udi_interface ERROR query:query_conditions: ('Received response with content-encoding: gzip, but failed to decode it.', error('Error -3 while decompressing data: incorrect header check')) 2022-12-04 09:46:54,065 Thread-706 udi_interface ERROR query:query_conditions: Current observation update failure 2022-12-04 09:46:54,066 Thread-706 udi_interface ERROR query:query_conditions: ('Received response with content-encoding: gzip, but failed to decode it.', error('Error -3 while decompressing data: incorrect header check')) 2022-12-04 09:48:48,810 Thread-707 udi_interface ERROR query:query_forecast: Forecast data failure: ('Received response with content-encoding: gzip, but failed to decode it.', error('Error -3 while decompressing data: incorrect header check')) 2022-12-04 09:48:54,063 Thread-708 udi_interface ERROR query:query_conditions: Current observation update failure 2022-12-04 09:48:54,065 Thread-708 udi_interface ERROR query:query_conditions: ('Received response with content-encoding: gzip, but failed to decode it.', error('Error -3 while decompressing data: incorrect header check')) 2022-12-04 09:50:54,852 Thread-709 udi_interface ERROR query:query_conditions: Current observation update failure 2022-12-04 09:50:54,853 Thread-709 udi_interface ERROR query:query_conditions: ('Received response with content-encoding: gzip, but failed to decode it.', error('Error -3 while decompressing data: incorrect header check')) 2022-12-04 09:52:54,146 Thread-710 udi_interface ERROR query:query_conditions: Current observation update failure 2022-12-04 09:52:54,147 Thread-710 udi_interface ERROR query:query_conditions: ('Received response with content-encoding: gzip, but failed to decode it.', error('Error -3 while decompressing data: incorrect header check')) 2022-12-04 09:54:54,124 Thread-711 udi_interface ERROR query:query_conditions: Current observation update failure 2022-12-04 09:54:54,125 Thread-711 udi_interface ERROR query:query_conditions: ('Received response with content-encoding: gzip, but failed to decode it.', error('Error -3 while decompressing data: incorrect header check')) 2022-12-04 09:56:54,127 Thread-712 udi_interface ERROR query:query_conditions: Current observation update failure 2022-12-04 09:56:54,128 Thread-712 udi_interface ERROR query:query_conditions: ('Received response with content-encoding: gzip, but failed to decode it.', error('Error -3 while decompressing data: incorrect header check')) 2022-12-04 09:58:48,882 Thread-713 udi_interface ERROR query:query_forecast: Forecast data failure: ('Received response with content-encoding: gzip, but failed to decode it.', error('Error -3 while decompressing data: incorrect header check')) 2022-12-04 09:58:54,828 Thread-714 udi_interface ERROR query:query_conditions: Current observation update failure 2022-12-04 09:58:54,829 Thread-714 udi_interface ERROR query:query_conditions: ('Received response with content-encoding: gzip, but failed to decode it.', error('Error -3 while decompressing data: incorrect header check'))

THANK YOU!! Yes I did use the copy button in UD Mobile, and I used copy/paste from Gmail on my PC. And when I went back into Edit of the API Key is doesn't show any extra spaces at the front or back. BUT I erased the existing API Key, pasted it a second time and before I hit SAVE, I noticed the paste added a SPACE after the API Key, so I deleted that before hitting SAVE. And voila! It works! Thanks again.

TCP client request failed I thought I had followed the Wiki directions carefully, downloaded the exampled and inserted my API Key from UDMoble. But when I try to TEST, I get the above error. Below is cut/paste from the ISY Error Log from this time along with a screenshot of the specific error message. Any thoughts on what I'm missing? I've also attached a txt file of the Error Log if that is easier to view. I'm actually running PG3 3.1.14 and getting this node server update failure

I also see it in the store, but a Restart fails to find/install the new version. I don't know if this is relevant, but a message in the log file states " No node server version specified. This isn't an urgent issue for me as I'm having no current problems with version 3.0.9, but when I issue a restart of the node server, I get the following message in the Polyglot log file: 11/9/2022, 10:12:05 [pg3] info: startNs:: Bond 11/9/2022, 10:12:05 [pg3] info: startNs:: Bond is valid 11/9/2022, 10:12:06 [pg3] info: checkLicense:: Bond Valid perpetual license found. 11/9/2022, 10:12:06 [pg3] info: UPGRADE AVAILABLE for Bond from 3.0.9 to 3.0.10 11/9/2022, 10:12:09 [pg3] info: [Bond(3)] :: New Version detected: re-running install process... 11/9/2022, 10:12:15 [pg3] info: upload successful 11/9/2022, 10:12:15 [pg3] info: upload successful 11/9/2022, 10:12:16 [pg3] info: upload successful 11/9/2022, 10:12:16 [pg3] error: Node server update failed Bond :: Error: notices doesn't exist 11/9/2022, 10:12:16 [pg3] error: Bond automatic update failed

Great! Any estimate on when 2.0.1 will be released? This isn't an urgent issue for me, just curious if there's an estimate. Thanks!!

I'm running version 2.0.0 of the Climacell node server on my Polisy and trying to use the 'Node server Online' field to trigger some notifications, but it seems to retain the value of TRUE even after the node server is stopped / Disconnected. I would like this field to be accurate regardless of how the node server dropped out, but to test this field, I issued a STOP through Polyglot admin interface. And the log file shows this was an orderly disconnect. Here are the lines from the log file: 2022-11-08 12:22:02,060 Command udi_interface.interface INFO interface:_handleInput: Received stop from Polyglot... Shutting Down. 2022-11-08 12:22:02,061 Command udi_interface.interface INFO interface:stop: Disconnecting from MQTT... localhost:1888 2022-11-08 12:22:02,063 Command udi_interface.interface INFO interface:_disconnect: MQTT Graceful disconnection. What could/should I be doing differently. I'm successfully using similar online status fields available in other node servers such as the ELK and Bond node servers. Any help appreciated.
-
Thanks!! That did the trick. I did an "Upgrade Packages" from the admin console yesterday, and restarted PG3 afterwards, or so I thought. But issuing another "Upgrade Packages" just now, followed by a Polyglot restart seems to have fixed my problems. Really appreciate you help, and the ELK nose server!

Gave that a shot and got an error. I verified I'm in the correct slot/directory by viewing the README.md file. And I verified that install.sh exists in this directory, (ls -l). And the contents of ./install.sh is [admin@polisy /var/polyglot/pg3/ns/00:0d:b9:5e:e2:8c_2]$ cat ./install.sh #!/usr/bin/env bash pip3 install -r requirements.txt --user Not sure if this error is saying the install.sh is not found? Or a line within the shell script? And I'm assuming the 'Password:' it is asking for is the password for admin@ polisy. Again, I appreciate your help. Here's the error: [admin@polisy /var/polyglot/pg3/ns/00:0d:b9:5e:e2:8c_2]$ sudo -u polyglot ./install.sh Password: sudo: ./install.sh: command not found [admin@polisy /var/polyglot/pg3/ns/00:0d:b9:5e:e2:8c_2]$

I have been using PG3 ELK node server successfully for about 6 months. Today I noticed my Polisy v.5.4.4 was not detecting correct ELK status. When I checked the node server it's status is 'Disconnected'. Tried stop/start of node server, and finally reboot of Polisy, but always the same results. I'm running PG3 version 3.0.62. The node server attempts startup, but fails immediately with the follow error: 2022-11-07 11:34:11,744 MainThread udi_interface INFO polylogger:set_basic_config: set_basic_config: enable=True level=30 2022-11-07 11:34:14,308 MainThread udi_interface INFO __init__:<module>: UDI Python Interface for Polyglot version 3 3.0.46 Starting... 2022-11-07 11:34:14,524 MainThread udi_interface ERROR udi_interface:write: Traceback (most recent call last): 2022-11-07 11:34:14,525 MainThread udi_interface ERROR udi_interface:write: File "./elk-poly.py", line 10, in <module> 2022-11-07 11:34:14,526 MainThread udi_interface ERROR udi_interface:write: from nodes import Controller 2022-11-07 11:34:14,527 MainThread udi_interface ERROR udi_interface:write: File "/var/polyglot/pg3/ns/00:0d:b9:5e:e2:8c_2/nodes/__init__.py", line 9, in <module> 2022-11-07 11:34:14,529 MainThread udi_interface ERROR udi_interface:write: from .Keypad import KeypadNode 2022-11-07 11:34:14,530 MainThread udi_interface ERROR udi_interface:write: File "/var/polyglot/pg3/ns/00:0d:b9:5e:e2:8c_2/nodes/Keypad.py", line 7, in <module> 2022-11-07 11:34:14,531 MainThread udi_interface ERROR udi_interface:write: from elkm1_lib.const import ( 2022-11-07 11:34:14,532 MainThread udi_interface ERROR udi_interface:write: ImportError 2022-11-07 11:34:14,533 MainThread udi_interface ERROR udi_interface:write: : 2022-11-07 11:34:14,533 MainThread udi_interface ERROR udi_interface:write: cannot import name 'FunctionKeys' from 'elkm1_lib.const' (/var/polyglot/.local/lib/python3.8/site-packages/elkm1_lib/const.py) Any ideas?

Thanks, I’m currently using the Bond Skill within the Alexa app for spoken commands and otherwise the PG3 Bond node server is working well for me for other ISY Polisy programs.
-
The nodes are not visible to the hint editor, at least not when using the PG3 version of the Bond node server.
-
I've just restarted my ISY/Polisy (twice) along with stopping and restarting the Bond node server and all my Bond nodes are visible and controllable through the ISY/Polisy Admin Console. But I still can't see these Bond nodes in the Portal's Amazon Echo device list nor the Device Hint Editor's device list. Can anyone else who's running the Bond node server see their nodes in the Device Hint Editor list? Or in the Amazon Echo device list? Thanks
-
Thanks Goose66, I really know nothing about the Device Hint Editor either. I've seen it mentioned in a few posts so I was noting that this is another 'tool' that I thought could see all(?) nodes but none of the Bond nodes appear in this drop down list either. The Device Hint Editor is accessed through the ISY Portal->Select tool...->Connectivity->Device Hint Editor. But yes, my real question is why none of my Bond nodes are visible through the ISY Portal->Select tool...->Connectivity->Aamazon Echo device list, but all my ELK and Climacell nodes are. I can't even see a use for the Climacell nodes to be in the Amazon Echo device list since they do not have on/off functions. But the Bond nodes could in theory be sent on/off commands through the Echo interface. Thanks
-
On a slightly more basic level, none of the Bond nodes appear in the ISY Portal Device Hint Editor. The Hint Editor can see all of my Climacell and ELK nodes, but none of the Bond nodes. Maybe this will be a useful clue for developer, Goose66.

Thanks for the input, Geddy & Javi. I certainly know little to nothing about the internals of node servers, but just trying to follow up on Javi's comments: From the Event Viewer I can see the following command(s) is issued when I 'open' a shade from the ISY. Fri 06/17/2022 07:31:35 PM : [D2D EVENT ] Event [n003_036b4412] [ST] [100] uom=97 prec=0 Fri 06/17/2022 07:31:35 PM : [n003_036b4412] ST 100 (uom=97 prec=0) which is a bit different from the DON and DOFF commands that I see with the ELK node server. But again, the above command sequence may be completely normal for an OPEN of a shade through the Bond node server. And as for the Hint value, from looking at the Node screen for the Bond node server in PG3 each node has a value in the Hint field. The Primary Node for the Bond Bridge has Hint: 0x010e0100 and all 8 Shade nodes (non-primary) have Hint: 17040640 I don't know if these snippets are helpful or just noise in this discussion. As always, thanks for everyone's input.

I have the PG3 Bond Node server running on my Polisy and all nodes are visible and working well in ISY programs. I have 8 Somfy shades so each node has the actions of Open and Close. On the PG3 dashboard, it is Connected and all appears well. But I would like to add spoken commands for each node (i.e. shade) through the ISY Portal using the Connectivity>Amazon-Echo interface. Through this interface I can see all nodes from my other servers such as ELK and Climacell Weather. All the ELK and Climacell nodes appear in the 'Device' list of the Portal>Connectivity>Amazon-Echo interface. I realize Bond has their own direct Alexa skill that could give me verbal control of my shades, but I would prefer to use the ISY/Alexa interface because this has been more reliable than most other Alexa skills I've used. And by sending all commands through my ISY Portal I have a better chance of my ISY Polisy knowing the correct state of my blinds. I can see and control these Bond bridge nodes through the UD Mobile app, so clearly the ISY Portal is aware of them. Has anyone else tried creating spoken commands for Bond bridge nodes through the ISY Portal>Connectivity>Amazon-Echo interface? Any ideas I should try? Appreciate any help.
