Michel, When will there be a final release above firmware 2.8.16? I have purchased the ELK module but have had problems in the past with beta releases so I am putting off going to 3.1.16. I have the ELK panel and can't wait to integrate it with my Insteon lighting control. I am currently at 2.8.16 and it has been working great for a long time. I know the ELK module will not work with 2.8.16 so I am itching to upgrade my firmware to get full use of my ISY. Thanks Dennis

Any word on support for the remotelinc2 in 2.8.16. I know it is supported in the 3.1.10 beta but I have already dealt with all kinds of headaches from the beta releases and will not go there again. My ISY is and has been working great for a long time now and I don't want to mess it up. I am still confused as to why there is two versions of firmware for the ISY. The 3.1.?? versions are always listed as beta. Are these the tests before a newer 2.8.?? comes out? I now have about 24 Insteon devices and the ISY is great for managing them all. UDI support is also the best.

I did the upgrade to 3.1.6 and all seemed to go fine until two days later I realized that my notifications were no longer working. I checked things out that night to see why and found several problems. Notifications not working, some items not showing status so because of that certain programs not working properly, time zone messed up, not all my items are showing up in main menu, and at login to admin all my battery operated items are not seen and I have to click OK to each one. I decided to go back to 3.15 since that was working perfectly for a long time. I should learn from past problems to leave things alone if they are working. I first restored to back to 3.1.5 then used my backup from 3.1.5 to restore. Things were still screwed up so I reset the ISY then tried the same again by loading 3.1.5 then my backup from 3.1.5 and still having same problems. I am giving up and finally realizing that this thing is becoming too much trouble. I do not have time to be constantly reprogramming everything. I hate to have a PC on all the time to do my Home Automation but I think I may just have to go to a software solution. Anyone else running into same problems? I HAVE GIVEN UP! Do not have time for this.

I reloaded my ISY back to version 3.1.4 and it fixed my notifications. No matter what I did in ver 3.1.5 I could not get the notifications to work. I have learned something here and will not do new firmware updates with a Beta release.

I am having same problem with notifications not being received. Did a test and getting error message mail server failure.

I have updated to 3.1.5 with no problems. I tried to change the number of columns under the settings option but it doesn't make the change. It always shows as one column. How is this feature supposed to work?

OK I'm confused. I thought that 3.1.1 was the newest firmware update now i see 2.8.26 is out. Whats up?

Michel, I was able to finally get the upgrade from 2.8.16 to 3.1 to take. What I did was clear all my history and cookies from my browser and the update took but just a few seconds. The ISY is a great product with great support behind it. I am an old time X10 user from back in the 70's. Switched over to Insteon about five years ago. Your ISY product is light years ahead of any controller X10 could ever come up with. Thanks for your quick replies to questions. Dennis

Michel, I have just tried the upgrade again from a new clean install of windows xp. Nothing else loaded on this laptop. Errors start at anywhere from 3% to 17%. I don't know when I could have time to get on phone for help with this. Just seems to be strange that something so simple is not working the way it should. As I said before I have done several upgrades before this with no problems following my same sequence. Your support here is always great. Thanks

Michel, I am having problems again with firmware upgrade. I followed all of your instructions from previous posts with no luck. I tried this on three different computers all running Windows XP using FireFox. ISY currently at 2.8.16. Two errors coming up at different percents of load such as 3% up to17%. Error 1 = Sockect open Failed java.io.IOException:An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine. Error 2 = Upgrade Failed: Failed uploading file (reported written size invalid). I did a power off of the ISY and PLM still nothing. My ISY has been working great otherwise. Sorry I have to keep bothering you but it seems that the upgrades just don't work all the time for me. I was able to do a few in the past with no problems. What I am i missing or doing wrong? Just tried to update to new 2.8.15 come up with two errors at about 6% thru: upgrade failed:Invalidlength and Socket open failed java.IOException:An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine. I did the 2.8.14 update last week and it went just fine no problems but can't load 2.8.15.

Michel, I did as you said and it worked. Did the upgrade to 2.8.10 and all is good. Only problem with upgrade was it did not take on first try. I had to do it twice. Thank you for the help

I now have ver 2.8.8 working ok. I now can not do a backup. I get these two errors never seen before. ERROR: Could not create zip file. ERROR: Could not Retreive file/conf/mail/1.NOT. Any help would be great. I now see ver 2.8.10 is out but until I can do a backup I am afraid to go any further. Thanks

I was able to do a rset isy back to normal, of course lost everything. IP was still locked in so connected thru network. I am trying to restore from last backup but nothing happens.

Just did update to 2.8.8 from 2.8.7 and now isy not working. I do a ping to IP and it replys twice then times out three keeps doing same thing. I did a reset and still nothing. Getting RX TX led's flashing and mem led flashing. Now what?
