Unable to access 994i from new Win10 computer
No joy, finder came up but found nothing. Cleared java and went back to launcher, it found the ISY but not type or version. Went looking to see what is different between the computer which is working and my new one. Both are Win10 pro x64, old one running java 8.0 261, new one 8.0 281. Found the following difference. Does ISY care about the Architecture?

Unable to access 994i from new Win10 computer
DennisC: Don't believe it was me that showed the subnet with a 1, 0 is correct. Screw Loose Dan: When I finally was able to "add" to the ISY finder it showed 5.0.16, which is correct. But, when I tried to access the Admin Console from there it errored out as shown above. Even though it errored out it had accessed the ISY by the fact it was showing a communication error in a window under the java error. When I closed the java error the app was dead. I went back and restarted the ISY Launch icon and the finder came up with type and version blank which I assume means it did not see the ISY for some reason. Any idea what the error is saying? The computer is question is not logged in as guest, and guest is off. What seems very strange is that it would see the ISY briefly after all the tries, and on top of that not see it again. BTW, always liked to eat at the Collegeville Inn when we lived in Willow Grove. Understand it is gone.

Unable to access 994i from new Win10 computer
How do I explain this??? The only thing that is different is that I let the new computer go to sleep. I tried adding the isy to the finder again, as I had already done many many times over, and it found it. That is the only good news. When I tried to access the Admin Console, the AC screen appeared with an error screen. "Socket Open Failed java.net.SocketException: Address family not supported by protocol family; connect" Interesting that under that error screen was an isy screen saying a device was not found, which was correct and expected. When I tried the ISY Launcher again the finder appeared but Type and Version were blank and trying to access the AC just locked things up.

Unable to access 994i from new Win10 computer
Thanks Michel, no joy. The ISY finder comes up blank on startup and when "add" is used it errors out on "Invalid URL". Keep in mind I can get into the dashboard by using the static address in explorer but even there cannot access admin console. I did see the post "Unable to access ISY" and removed any udi*.state files but again no joy.

Unable to access 994i from new Win10 computer
Looking at my router I'm finding that it has single port 443 forwarding both in and out to the isy. Not sure why that is in there but it goes back many years. Suspect it may be an issue, what say you?

Unable to access 994i from new Win10 computer
I forgot to mention that the computer that is working is hardwired, and WIFI on the problem machine. Will take a look at the router to see if anything looks strange to me. I do use Mobilinc via WIFI with no issues both remote and on site via phone.

Unable to access 994i from new Win10 computer
Yes the Launcher Icon fires up the finder which is not finding the isy. The fact that I can get into it via browser (but not the console) makes me think it is a Java issue and I am as dumb as a stone when it comes to Java.

Unable to access 994i from new Win10 computer
Keep in mind that I can access it via browser, just not the Admin Console.

Unable to access 994i from new Win10 computer
Thanks guys, my only firewall is Windows Defender on both computers which are both Win10. I have tried with it turned off does not help. As I stated above, I have tried with both the finder, which cannot find the isy994i even manually. When I try via a browser I get as far as described and it hangs. Don't know if it helps but I have attached the generated target data from both computers ISYstartIcon.txt

Unable to access 994i from new Win10 computer
Can access from old computer with no issues. New computer has current Java installed, cache cleared. Used isy finder, creates icon but does not find isy. Tried adding manually (static ip) does not find it. I can access via Chrome or Edge and get to the dashboard and see all devices etc but, when I try to access admin console I get to the "Please Keep This Window Open" and it hangs. Any ideas on what I am missing?

Need help with a log showing a loop
Thank you both for your input. Had to go out of town for a while, just getting back to this issue. Can you point me to where I can find info on interpreting what I am seeing in the event log. Some of it I can piece together but I am a bit lost. I do believe I have something besides a loop. In the above event log I am seeing line 2 through line 6 repeating for hours. Have looked at different days, and have seen them repeat from a couple to over 4 hours. Can anyone tell me what I am seeing in those lines? I have had older dimmers go rogue but they have exhibited strange lighting sequences, just wondering if the addressed dimmer is going bad.

Need help with a log showing a loop
Have an ISY994i that is running 5.0.16, was upgraded to 5 probably at least 6 months ago without any issues. Lately have found some commands not completing correctly so went looking at the log and found the attached loop. Need some help in interpreting it. Seems to me that something is issuing a time command. The only thing I can think might is the following: The 12.A0.4E is 'Hall - foyer / Front Lites' but I am lost at what the log is telling me. I might add that this program goes back many many years to version 4 without issues. Nothing here seem logical to me in causing a loop. I have powered down the 2420M (test motion old-Sensor) in the event it had an issue, disabled the program, issued a STOP. Loop keeps running. Anyone have any advice?

2486D not responding to physically attached scene button
Have a scene button on a 2486D which is also setting the level of it's dimmer. However, it is having no affect on the dimmer. ISY994i shows the scene being set to 100% but is actually off. Is there an issue with scene buttons affecting the physically attached device? I see no entries in the dimmer link table addressing it's self. ISY994i using version 5.

Time to go version 5?
Have to replace an old motion sensor with a version 2 ?. Any advice on moving on to version 5? I'm currently on 4.7.3, all devices are Insteon, and ISY994i has straight forward programming.

Time has jumped ahead a day early
Interesting, I also saw some webcams that were reporting wrong times yesterday. Today all is fine, will try and remember to look for it in the fall, will try a custom location if it is off then.

Time has jumped ahead a day early
Are you not full of good news ?. Just my luck to have an off the wall issue. Not a major problem, just strange. Will be interested to see what happens over night. Many thanks for the info.

Time has jumped ahead a day early
Installed a new plm yesterday which should have nothing to do with this issue. This AM found times an hour early. If I sync with the computer the time is correct , sync to the ntp server and the time jumps 1 hour. Time zone is correct. BTW 4.7.3

Adding a 2477S lead to lost devices
Nor did it to me. When I looked with explorer, I found that the backup before the update was smaller than it should have been (which is what I had used to restore), went back one and all is well. Still find it strange that the update without a restore would have dropped virtually all devices. But, all is well now. Thanks Michel.

Adding a 2477S lead to lost devices
Tried to add a 2477S to 4.6.2 without success, so upgraded to 4.7.3, and purged java. After restarting only had a few, like 3 devices should have been close to 100, all scenes are gone, but all programs are there. Did a restore but same results. Anyone have any thoughts??

Comcast port blocking
Thanks for all your responses, whatever the issue was it cleared on it's own.

Comcast port blocking
Have made no changes to router in a long time, did reboot it but no change, running bridge mode. I am finding that of the 20 or so more common ports only 2, 21 and 443 are open. Even remote access 3389 is now closed.
