Final resolution.... a strange one. Removed the A-D buttons from their respective scenes (all scenes controlling different devices), and added them back, still no joy as to responding to the scene from other controllers. The scenes would function properly from the 4 buttons, including the local button lights. Don't know why I did it, but found if I activated each scene one at a time from a different source, hit the corresponding button on 2334 turning it on and then off, they would all function fine after that. So far so good.........

They are showing in the membership as both. Everything looks ok to me in the isy. The unit works fine except for not acting as responders. Did not have time to spend on this last night, but going to redo the scenes and restore.

Replaced with the isy994i, all appeared well, all scenes work properly from keypad. However, the leds in A-D are not responding to scenes activated from elsewhere. All appears well in the membership tree. Any thoughts?

Depending on your router, it may be capable of updating a DDNS service directly, no need to keep a computer on to run an app.

If you have a static IP address, or a Dynamic IP service, you do not need the "connect" which cuts the cost a bit. Agree with oberkc!

Mobilinc works fine, have used it for years.

I have used Ultralife batteries in my outside units for several years and have had no issues, they seem to give me longer service. We are located in southern Delaware so don't have the extreme temps of up north. Keep in mind the 10 years is shelf life, not use life.

Not input to your issue, but something I have experienced with EZFlora's. I have gone through several of them, seems they do not like quick power fluctuations which we often have. My solution was to use the dual band version and put it on a small UPS. Have not lost one since.

Larry, Thanks for the response. Are you using the CU30x controller for the SQE? Looks now that I may have to go with a larger size pump than in the SQE family which would put me into a VF Inverter for the pump, which does not use plc. i suspected their signal would be well insulated from the rest of the house but their engineer, as you see, had reservations. Great to have your info from the real world!

For any interested, following find the response I received from Grundfos (fiy, SQE is their pump, CU30X is their controller): “This is a difficult question regarding our powerline communication. I have had a look at Insteon and their documentation; they are using almost the same frequency as we are in our system. They also claim to be have very sensitive receivers. It looks like they have some checks in the way the communicate, so the system looks strong. So even though that we filter our communication and it take part between CU30X and SQE, some small signals will be seen on the “outside” of the CU30X filter. And the other way around signals can interfere with our communication. We have tested our system against other powerline equipment such as these powerline LAN adapters for households; there we didn’t see any performance issues neither on CU30X or the LAN adapters. I would say that we are so much in doubt that we should stay away from this installation with SQE.”

Anyone had any experience in using one of these for your well? My concern is if it causes interference with insteon. I am reading that they use power line signals between the control and the pump but do not know if they isolate their signal to the pump or let it out over the house power lines.

Hi Lee, Very interesting. Gets ones attention when the entire joint goes full light! Wife thought her crazy husband was messing around on some hair brain scheme again. So would it be worth delaying the isy action by a second? Not that some other programmed event could not hit at the same time. Paul.

Hit the off button on a Keypad dimmer 6 button last night and had every insteon switch or dimmer in the house come on full tilt, 60+ devices. The keypad dimmer has nothing connected to it's load, just part of a scene to another dimmer, and is used in a program in the isy994. No scene buttons were activated on any of my keypads. I have my doubts that the isy was involved, but anyone experienced anything like this? Paul

I have a series of programs that require the push of a button 3 times before running a program turning on an irrigation zone. Keeps from having accidental turn on's. It has worked fine for years, now I am only seeing the first push of the button, nothing for the second and third on. The only way I am seeing an on again is to precede it with an off. Any thoughts? Still running my old 99i pro 3.3.10

Lee, As always, many thanks!! Have the 994i sitting on the shelf, guess it is time to put it to use!

When I tried to access my isy99 today I am getting; Running this app may be security risk....... If I select; I accept the risk....... and try to run I get an error Missing required permissions manifest attribute in main jar:....... Java 7.51, isy99 last supported update Any thoughts?

FYI, I have issues with a dimmer used in a bathroom. After several years, the unit went dead, exercising the air gap (pulling out the set button) will bring it back, usually for several months before having to do it again. My guess is the humidity is creating some corrosion in the contacts.

Sorry, I had overlooked the day time constraint, thought it was a night time example for him.
-
If I am understanding correctly, it seems that Xathros forgot to have a one minute wait as the first command in "then" for the two examples.

The least expensive way will be to do it with x10 commands, but you will need the 4300 power supply. The only other way is with vista relay modules, a Smartenit EZIO8SA will handle 7 inputs. If you keep the 4300 and isy on the same 120 leg you should have reliable communication. I have had good success with vista panels using either method.

Lee, Had to go to 3.3.10 (99i), my 994i is due in Tuesday. After installing 3.3.10, I did another plm restore, fixed the problem! Strange after so many months the beta would give a problem but, everything is resolved. Thanks again for your help!!!

Firmware and UI 3.3.4, upgraded about 5 months ago. I had tried a PLM restore before my first posting, no joy.

Hi Lee, When I ran the Scene Test, I could see many of the lights come on for a second or two, and then went out. Can't confirm all of them but I could see at least three of them from where I was sitting. ISY has been in use for several years without issues. A couple of days ago I noticed that some lights were not going on and off as they should have been. Then I noticed that the isy was not responding to my alarm on and off's which communicate via x10. Hooked up an x10 analyzer at the modem and found readable x10 codes with no high levels of noise. But, the event viewer is not showing any recieved x10 codes (modem light if flashing when codes are being sent). The alarm and isy are on the same circuit. Find that the lights that the isy is having a problem turning on and off will work fine from other keypads that are linked. Sometimes I can turn a light on or off with the isy, other times not (see log below), some lights are fine all the time, others are ratty most if not all the time. My thought was noise, or legs not properly linked. But, with the alarm on the same circuit and the isy not seeing it and an analyzer seeing it (x10) and not showing noise..... So far I have; re-set the access points, restored the modem, re-booted the isy, none of which made any difference. In the following log, the first set of on and off worked, the second did not. I have seen similar issues when the body is left blank. Adding anything to the body resolved it for me.
