jblackst5000 Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 Hello, I downloaded the Weatherbug module a few days ago and have already written a few programs to send outside temp, wind speed and wind direction to my Elk M1 Gold keypad. I was going to write a program to send me an alert when there is a severe weather warning issued but I did not see anything like that with the available variables. Please let me know if there are alerts that trigger when the National Weather Services issues alerts. Thanks again for all of the help I receive from this forum.
Michel Kohanim Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Hello jblackst5000, Apologies for tardy reply. Unfortunately we do not yet have alerts/forecasts implemented both of which are in the list of our requirements. With kind regards, Michel
swnewman Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I recognize you may be looking for a solution that doesn't require a radio...but if you have a Midland weather radio, you can connect the strobe output to the sensor on an IOLinc. Works great, in my case I have it so that it flashes the lights in the bedroom if a warning goes off. Some benefits of the weather radio are reliability (does not rely on internet connection) and you may get the notifications a little quicker. -Seth
