ISY delays with programs using Elk module

My system went AWOL a few days ago. I am slowly getting it pieced back together. The main issue was my PLM dying. Everything is almost back up and working except for my ISY programs that involve Elk. I have lots of programs that watch for zone violations and react, but this reaction has now went from nearly instantaneous to 20-60 seconds delayed.

Tried:

Power cycle / reboot Elk, XEP, ISY, and my router. Triple check all configuration settings.

Notes:

No changes have been made to my system recently. Just went from fine to AWOL all on it's own.

Using 994 with 4.0.5. All my devices have static IP addresses. My local network is working fine with no recent changes as well. I have noticed a lot of 'Elk Query All Failed, requesting retry' in my log.

Any advice/info on how to resolve?

Thanks!

Hi iostream212,

Without more information as far as what these programs actually do, it would be quite difficult to figure out the delay. Have you tried looking at that last runtime to see when the programs actually ran? i.e. is it that it now takes longer for programs to be activated OR that the problem is related to the Action Section of the programs?

With kind regards,

Michel

Hello Michel,

Sorry for the ambiguity. The elk programs just turn on a light or turn on a scene. I have noticed that this delay is also present in the network module and the triggering of the network resources. Also the test button is inactive in the network resource page and I cant get it to activate. I am thinking about a factory reset on the isy and plm and adding only a few devices to see what happens. I never realized what a big part ISY plays in my setup until I had to take it out due to this stability issue.

Hi iostream212,

Please do not factory reset!

First of all, I am not sure why the Test button would not work in Network Resources. The only thing I can think of is that you are not using the correct version of UI or that there's some Java cache issues.

Before doing anything else, turn the Event Viewer on, change the level to 3, and then please run a few of the programs. Once that's done, either save the contents and send to support@universal-devices.com OR paste it to a reply to this post.

With kind regards,

Michel

Anytime the Test button in network resources is gray on mine it means that I have an unsaved resource. Hit the Save button and try again.
