keribi Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 I am using a remotelinc in my family room to to control a few devices. Before I go to bed I sometimes hit "ALL OFF" on the remotelinc. If I log into my ISY-26 admin console after hitting "ALL OFF" on the remotelinc the status of all the devices that are turned off by the remotelinc are still showing their previous dim levels even though I turned them OFF. Should the ISY pickup the status of devices turned off by a remotelinc? If I do a query on My lighting the ISY shows the correct updated status. Maybe I should not use "ALL OFF" on the remotelinc? Write a program to turn devices off?
Michel Kohanim Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Hello keribi, Is your RL linked to your ISY and participates in scenes? keribi Posted September 9, 2008 Author Posted September 9, 2008 The RL is listed in "my Lighting" but not using it in any scenes. I think I linked the RL manually, not through the ISY. Do I need to create scenes with the RL for the ISY to track status of devices? I am not sure how the "ALL ON" and "ALL OFF" buttons relate to the ISY?
Michel Kohanim Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Hello keribi, Yes, you need to link them through ISY. This way, ISY knows when you press the All On/Off and will update the statuses accordingly. With kind regards, Michel The RL is listed in "my Lighting" but not using it in any scenes. keribi Posted September 10, 2008 Author Posted September 10, 2008 Works great NOW! Thanks Mike I have another question! If I want to setup a virtual 3 way switch between 2 devices how do I create a scene where each device is both a controller and responder?
Michel Kohanim Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Hi keribi, Good to hear and my pleasure! Now, all you have to do is to create a scene and drop them both in there as controllers (they are controlling one another). With kind regards, Michel Works great NOW! Thanks Mike I have another question! If I want to setup a virtual 3 way switch between 2 devices how do I create a scene where each device is both a controller and responder?
