Teken Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Received an email from Smarthome this morning 12/5/2014 48% off today only on an Insteon LampLinc Dual-Band 2-Pin Plug-In Lamp Dimmer Module 4-pack. That is definitely a awesome deal! I am really hoping this will be a new trend. As there are several multi packs being sold at costco for $99.00. Others like the MS are pack of two, while the dimmers are $149.99 for a four pack. At this price point it makes buying Insteon a much better value and readily available to the masses. I am going to sit on the fence and think about this one. I would prefer to see the On/Off relay module as j have more use for them. Encrypted By: Phoenix Security Solutions
Methos000 Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 So the 4 pack of dimmers at Costco aren't the 2477D. What is the difference between them and the model costco lists? 2549-282 It's a darn good deal, I've got 12 more dimmers to buy so I'd certainly take this deal up if they are just as good as the 2477's I have everywhere else.
Teken Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 The one we are speaking about is a plug in lamp linc module. The American site does not carry any of those at the moment.
Methos000 Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Yeah I caught that part, you mentioned 149$ for a 4 pack of dimmers though, which we have on the American Costco site (http://www.costco.com/Insteon-Dimmer-Switch-with-Wall-Plate-4-Pack.product.100083308.html). It's not the 2477D that I'm familiar with though so I'm hesitant to buy them since I assume that would make them an older model?

The one listed on Costco USA is just the normal dual band dimmer linc. Its fine and is the most current supply from Smarthome so no worries there. Worst case you don't like them you know Costco, just return it with no fuss.
arw01 Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 The have a few items on Costco at better prices.. Sent from my Sony Tablet S using Tapatalk
Techman Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Do you happen to know if the items are shipped from a Costco warehouse or if they are fulfilled by Smarthome? I want to make sure I get the most current firmware/hardware versions. I noticed that Smarthome shows out of stock for the 4 pack leak sensors but Costco shows them as available.

Ultimately it comes from Smarthome. The very fact they were out of stock last week means pretty much what came to Costco is the most recent stock. Having said this it does not address a few stragglers that may have been pushed into the pile. I can say this because when I received my 4 Leak Sensors there was one older hardware revision / firmware in the mix with the new one. Its safe to say you're not going to get hardware that is three years old by any stretch of the imagination. Even if you did bring it back to Costco and order another set until you get what you want!
Techman Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Do you happen to know what the latest hardware/firmware version is?
Teken Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Do you happen to know what the latest hardware/firmware version is? Unfortunately I do not as I have not purchased any items from the USA Costco. The Canadian site does not carry the awesome four packs like your side does. Having said this our side carries many (single items) which your side does not. But, the constant raping of price point is just unbelievable and this was still when the Canadian dollar was above par! Order some and let us know I am sure you won't be disappointed plus you're getting the cover plates included which is not possible via SH which would cost you extra at full price!
Techman Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 OK, I ordered the 4 pack, $100 with free shipping.
Teken Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 OK, I ordered the 4 pack, $100 with free shipping. Was that a typo ($100) opposed to $149.99? http://www.costco.com/Insteon-Dimmer-Switch-with-Wall-Plate-4-Pack.product.100083308.html
Techman Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 It was the leak sensor 4 pack that I ordered, the price was $100. I wondered why you said the "plates" were included. Smarthome was out of the 4 pack sensors which I guess is a good thing as Costco is 33% less http://www.costco.com/Insteon-Water-Leak-Sensor-4-Pack.product.100083309.html
apnar Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 A couple Costco orders I've placed actually shipped direct from SmartHome.
Techman Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 Just received the 4 leak sensors. They were ordered through Costco and came directly from Smarthome. 3914 Rev 2.3, firmware .43.
