Please help I have tried every thing..

any firmware after 4.0.5 always uses https and is VERY slow..If I flash back to 4.0.5 works fine.

4.2.18 is even slower. Had my woman outside for 8 min waiting for the door to unlock :(

If I put it on local its super fast. I have contacted wes at mobilinc but this dont make sence so I hope someone here can help. android 4.4.4 tried different ports all security levels even dhcp no change

Hi kal357,

What do you mean by "any firmware after 4.0.5 uses https"? is this a MobiLinc feature or, if not, what is it?

And 8 minutes just does not make sense. Actually it's pretty much impossible unless you are coming in through 3G/4G and bad signal reception.

The only difference between 4.0.5 and 4.0.18 is that we no longer support SSL due to a huge security hole (POODLE). We now use TLS1.0 but, even then, there should really be no performance impact.

With kind regards,

Michel

The only way I can get mobilinc to see isy internal is to put settings to local only, otherwise it uses external https even on Auto. I notice external time has increased a lot too. wes from mobilinc thinks it a upnp problem.  just don't understand 4.0.5 works perfect

Hi kal357,

I think there are two issues here:

1. MobiLinc cannot find ISY locally ... this may have nothing to do with either ISY or MobiLinc. 4.2.8 has been tested with MobiLinc so auto detect should work

2. As far as longer times for external:

-- Did you install a new certificate?

-- 4.0.5 might have used SSL which is deemed inscure so 4.2.18 forces TLS1.0. Again, as long as you have not changed certificates and/or network security strength, this should have no visible impact

With kind regards,

Michel

I can live with long external times

how can i fix local other than using local only settng?

(this may have nothing to do with either ISY or MobiLinc)

but works fine on 4.0.5       I'm stumped  nothing has changed and this has worked fine for a long long time?

thank you for your time

kal357,

I am so very sorry but I am running out of suggestions:

1. Your iPhone finds ISY properly

2. Your Admin Console finds ISY properly

3. Android does not

So, I would have to conclude that there's something going on either with Android or MobiLinc.

Can you get to ISY locally (on the local network and NOT remotely) using Chrome on your device?

With kind regards,

Michel

yes I can    thats why i thought it was MobiLinc but wes said it wasnt..  ive tried on other verisons of android same result.   I could not take the problems any more so now im on 4.0.5 and its working fine..   I wish this could be figured out.  I am pretty good at networking but this is out of my hands.

anyone have any ideas that dont involve a hammer    lol

I too have been experiencing this anomaly. Same conditions / environment as reported by previous posters: After upgrade from 4.0.5, MobiLinc (on Android 4.1.2) refuses to connect locally when connect method is set to Auto Detect...always connects via https://. Reverting back to 4.0.5 restores ability to connect via http:// (on home's wifi).

Also experienced the anomaly at a client's system after upgrading ISY firmware to 4.2.18.
