Zellarman Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 I presently have my exterior lights scheduled to come on at a certian time relative to sunset time. This relationship is constant through out the year, however because it's darker 5 minutes before sunset during the winter than it is during the summer, it has it's quirk in relationship to how bright it is outside. I'd like to see some way of correcting this.
khearn Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Hmmm, I wonder if you could work around it by selecting a different location? I think if you told your ISY you are farther north than you really are, You'd get earlier sunsets in the winter without as much effect on sunset time in the summer. This assumes you are in the northern hemisphere and not in the tropics. But if you were in the tropics, it wouldn't be an issue I guess. I'm not 100% sure this would work, but just visualizing it in my head makes me think it would. Keith
Michel Kohanim Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Hi Zellarman, I do also think that Keith's idea would work. Furthermore, all we really need is an analog input sensor to measure the ambient lighting outside. I wonder if SH is working on one. With kind regards, Michel
