I'm sure these numbers don't represent the number of users "online now" but rather the number of tapatalk users that have visited a specific forum site.  The 1076 number for UDI feels right to me as does 3958 for iMore and 18 for Ubi forums.  I rarely see more than 4 or 5 TT users online at UDI at any one time.

But that number should fluctuate from day to day, week to week. This number is either a moment in time (peak) number opposed to a live daily trend.

Because its impossible 330 people have been doing this very same thing when your number counters that value at a 10XX value until recently.

Not really a big thing for me as a curiosity because when I saw the number spike from the standard 330 I normally see to 5000 plus value I said to myself.

Wow, there is a epic thread going on right now so better go see! LOL

From the Tapatalk website as posted yesterday...

"We are 'recalibrating' the number so it shows the real followers but not someone clicked into your community and bounced back. We are looking into the inconsistency as reported in the first two posts. Thanks guys!"

Nestor,

You Rock and you know it, thanks!

Maybe it is just me but I do not see the attraction of tapatalk. I tried it a few times and it really did not appeal to me. I just would rather use a regular browser. Is there something I am missing? ~Mike

Mike-

I find reading forums much easier on the small screen when away from the office with Tapatalk (better now than it used to be).  I agree - I prefer my laptop with keyboard for normal forum access.  I'm here all day on my laptop or desktop via browser, then in the evenings I check in now and again with Tapatalk.  Tapatalk is good about sending push notifications anytime I'm quoted, mentioned, PM'd or a subscribed topic is replied to.  Often, I will grab the laptop after a notification from Tapatalk on my phone knowing it will be a bigger reply and easier to deal with on the larger screen/keyboard.

TT is intended for those using mobile devices. The overall intent is to provide similar viewing, navigation, and notification in a small portable form factor.

If you're on a netbook, laptop, PC there is no value in TT at all.

Thanks for the replies. I know it is designed for the mobile user and did try it on my iPhone but rather use Safari in landscape just for continuity of the interface. I now mainly use an iPad at home with Safari. Just did not know if there was something else I was missing out on! :-) ~Mike

Mine showed up when I attempted to login to the UD forum, here, with my Android Samsung, you know the one without anything missing out of it's core?

It appeared forced on me as the only way to mobile access the forum and many had posted here using it so I thought I would give it a shot. It cm with three Apple forums installed at the top that I had to scroll down through for every post on UD. This quickly became very annoying and after searching for about two hours ho to remove them I finally uninstalled the (cr)app. I disconnected from the UDI forum OK and then reconnected to it each time with success but the rotten Apple forum connections could not be removed AFAIK

The app didn't appear to be worth the learning curve to me. Perhaps I did pick up a browser virus of some type.

For what it's worth Google plans on unifying and forcing all hand set makers follow basic (strict) guidelines by years end. This should have been done since launch and inception of this OS platform.

Samsung is slated to reduce their android exposure by using their own home grown OS moving forward.

How that shakes out who knows.

Not really sure what the new Samsung Tinzen is based on. One would have to assume its loosely based on the Linux platform.

It is Linux based. Samsung has put great effort in customizing android on their devices to the point of obscuring that it's from Google .... I get writing their own os from a capital and business case perspective.

The flip side is their add on software, android or windows has not been stellar. I would not be a v1 tizen user.

Mine says 330. And Android may indeed be less secure than ios, but that's cold comfort these days...

That's awesome!

Lucky my automated toilet isn't connected to the hyper thermal mass generator that controls the ion drive of the switch plate to the gravity field proton lift mechanism in the roof!
