Techman Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Would it be possible to add a general comment area in the ISY where we could enter notes on device type, firmware release and installed location, etc. for devices that don't display un the ISY device tree such as the Range Extenders and the SignalLinc .
Michel Kohanim Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Hi Techman, Unfortunately it's rather impossible since everything in ISY is a node and thus there's no easy way to associate information to something that's not in ISY. I am so sorry. With kind regards, Michel

I am so sorry. With kind regards, Michel Couldn't a note option be added under the tools menu which could then be written to the drive as a stand alone file? I also noticed that the folder STATUS ICON setting reverts back to simple view after having set it to detailed view. Is this data being stored in a temporary file which is getting erased when I periodically clean up my drive? If so can it be relocated to a more permanent file?
Michel Kohanim Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Hi Techman, Unfortunately not. What OS are you using? With kind regards, Michel

Michel Kohanim Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Hi Techman, Is this reproducible all the time as I cannot reproduce it here. The only thing I can think of is that you do not have Java cache enabled since all preferences are stored in Java cache. With kind regards, Michel

With kind regards, Michel Hi Michel I sometimes clear out the Java cache so I guess that's my problem. I didn't realize the data was stored in the java cache, I assumed it was stored on the hard drive. Many thanks
