New Insteon Device-->Auto Discover gets me the following: The following devices could not be added: 35.00.CF -Cannot determine Insteon Engine Choosing one of the (2) available 2342-222 Device Types (00.12 and 00.1A) gets a similar "Cannot determine Insteon Engine" error. larryllix Posted September 17, 2015 Share Posted September 17, 2015 Have you done a factory reset? This is always good practice for any device before linking it to anything. larryllix Posted September 17, 2015 Share Posted September 17, 2015 From the manual "The factory reset procedure clears all settings from Mini Remote including INSTEON scenes.1) If possible, unlink (remove) all scene responders prior to performing factory reset2) Turn Mini Remote off (slide power switch to left)3) Press & Hold Set Button4) While continuing to hold the Set Button, turn Mini Remote back on (slide power switch to the right)" It's called "finger twister".
