ArunGupta2014 Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 I am seriously considering adding the Z-Wave module to my ISY994i IR/PRO. The more research I do on Z-Wave, the more confused I get about compatibility between products from various manufacturers and the Universal Devices Z-Wave module. How can I check compatibility? Is there a Z-Wave certified logo? I was also looking at Aeotec products, specifically, the LED bulb: http://www.thesmartesthouse.com/collections/aeon-labs-series-6/products/aeotec-by-aeon-labs-z-wave-plus-led-bulb-gen-5 Now this says that: You need a Z-Wave gateway which supports the 500 series chip products to take full advantage of the bulb. Please check with the manufacturer of your Z-Wave hub to make sure its firmware will meet the device's technical requirements. How can I ensure that Universal Devices Z-Wave module supports 500 series chip? Thanks, Arun Gupta
Michel Kohanim Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Hi Arun, All 500 series devices are backward compatible with 300 series. With kind regards, Michel
