Andre Douyon Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Is there any plan for the Insteon switches to be able to also track power usage and report that info to iPhone. Other devices that do this are Elgato eve https://www.elgato.com/en/eve/eve-energy WeMo http://www.belkin.com/us/F7C029-Belkin/p/P-F7C029;jsessionid=EC7723C46D0D139023E9424293E1B294/ Thanks

FarmerGeek Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 There used to be a way to assign device wattage and duty cycle. ISY would then track power. Since lights are either on or off the duty cycle would be 100. I can't find that tab in the version I an running (V 4.3.26).
Michel Kohanim Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Hi FarmerGeek, ISY would not track power based on that information. We had to remove it from Admin Console since it was not being used. It's still in the Dashboard (http://isy.universal-devices.com/994i/dashboard.jnlp). Click on the wrench icon on the device and it will show up there. With kind regards, Michel
MikeFTW Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Is there a reason why ISY cannot estimate power in this way? I remembered the wattage field and tried to use it last night. It would be extremely helpful to get an estimate based on hours "On" x wattage. I could get this information by parsing the log file, but I'd love to see it in the GUI.
Michel Kohanim Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Hi MikeFTW, The main reason is lack of resources vs. the benefits especially since these will only be estimates. With kind regards, Michel
