You can purchase the module now from within the Admin Console. Select purchase module and it will bring you to the UDI website.

Help -> Purchase Modules.

The $49.00 is for a full two year subscription which is a pretty good value over all given what it will allow the end user to integrate and connect to.

What exactly does the portal give you?

The portal offers a secure connection to the outside world without the need for certificates or DDNS.  Also provides integration with certain devices such as Amazon Echo.

Jon...

As I understand it, the over all goal is to develop this hosted service to allow more 3rd party hardware and cloud service integration. It will also allow multi user / multi login for those with more than one unit. It helps integrator's manage multiple sites via a web based interface.

Just moved over to the ISY from Indigo (and have biggie sized it with all the modules available) for the extensive device support (including ELK, Sonos and Russound plus a number of network devices I have).  I'd love to purchase this option but when I click Purchase Modules in the Java app nothing happens.  I was able to sign up for the service via the portal but it states that my ISY is offline...

Currently have 4.3.26 installed.  Looking forward to the Echo integration and easy, no-brainer remote connectivity.

Please advise.

Check to see your UI version is the same as Firmware version (Help > About.)

Also, you might think about upgrading to version 4.4.2

Jon...

Thanks for the guidance!  I'll upgrade this weekend.  My UI and Firmware are the same so upgrading my make the difference.  Any reason not to go for 5.xxx?  New setup for me so I'm still in the test/setup mode... Nothing mission critical at this point.

Also, just placed an order for the Echo for delivery later this month (need high wife approval for the end result!) and it looks like the native integration will be a big plus. :)

Michel has indicated to me v5 and the portal are not compatible and fully tested. I cant get the portal to connect for me on v5 but others have. This may have something to do with connecting to the portal at a lower firmware then upgrading to v5 but this is purely speculation. My two cents, stay on v4 and get the portal ISY/Echo integration is well worth it. Im using the Hue emulator and its nice.

I'm on version 5.0.2 without problem, I don't know the issue others have had.  That said, v5 is still in development so probably wise to stick to v4.

Jon..

Thanks to all!  I upgraded to 4.x but had trouble purchasing due to a Paypal timeout.  I submitted a support ticket to ISY... (please take my money!).

One step at a time.   ;)

Hello All,

I just purchased and installed the ISY Portal module--is there any documentation for configuring and using it?

Thanks.

Tried it again and dropped my IR device purchase.  Portal purchase worked.. and is now linked.  Echo arriving in in 10 days or less.
