WetCoastWillie Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 While troubleshooting another issue I happened to take a look at the log under tools. When I opened it up i was surprised to find that every 30sec or so my Elk is generating a "Get Topology" and "Get All Status". Is this normal? My concern is that it is utilizing system resources unnecessarily and slowing down other processes.
Michel Kohanim Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Hi WestCoastWillie, Not really. Can you please check your Error Log to any error communicating with ELK? With kind regards, Michel
WetCoastWillie Posted January 29, 2016 Author Posted January 29, 2016 I don't see any errors to do with Elk... but several others.
Michel Kohanim Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Hi WestCoastWillie, Thank you. At the top of ISY Admin Console, do you see ELK information come and go randomly? With kind regards, Michel
WetCoastWillie Posted February 12, 2016 Author Posted February 12, 2016 no.... only changes status... ready/not ready to arm... as doors, motion, etc, change state. not consistently and continuously throughout the day like the log is showing
Michel Kohanim Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Hi WetCoastWillie, 1. What is 119.97.146.76? It seems that this device is trying to get to your ISY but does not have the correct credentials 2. I do not see any errors in the log which indicates that ELK had to reconnect 3. Are you using any mobile app that might be doing this? 4. What's your firmware version? With kind regards, Michel
WetCoastWillie Posted February 14, 2016 Author Posted February 14, 2016 Hi WetCoastWillie, 1. What is 119.97.146.76? It seems that this device is trying to get to your ISY but does not have the correct credentials Not sure who/what that is.... It's outside my network. 2. I do not see any errors in the log which indicates that ELK had to reconnect It does not look like the elk disconnects, just continously refreshing, if I'm in admin console I am constantly waiting as it updates a few times a minute. 3. Are you using any mobile app that might be doing this? I only have Mobilinc on my iPad and iPhone 4. What's your firmware version? Running 5.0.2 With kind regards, Michel
Michel Kohanim Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Hi WetCoastWillie, Thanks so very much. This is definitely not normal. Can you please let me know the firmware version for M1 and M1XEP? With kind regards, Michel

Michel Kohanim Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Hi Matt, Thanks so very much. Perhaps it's time to do a remote session to your computer to see what may be going on. Please do be kind enough to submit a ticket. With kind regards, Michel
