Cannot determine Insteon Engine

I was adding a new switch link dimmer. The system found the new device and when I went to finish the process, I got this message: New Device Error- The Following Devices could not be added: FO.62.13

(2477D) Dual Band Switch Linc Dimmer V.45. cannot determine Insteon engine.

 

Did a factory reset of the switch and got the same result.

 

Defective switch?

Which method are you using to Add the device? Have you tried any of the other methods? Do you have other devices on that same circuit?

I am having the same issue after remove and restore a 2442-222 Micro Dimmer it's no longer being recognized by my ISY. I tried the ADD an insteon device and also tried Discovery.. I can see the other devices but this one is no longer responding.

Interesting is that I can use my keypad to link and it works. The issue looks to be on ISY.

My firmware is 4.3.26

Yes I have cycled power on both ends

Updating... I used the "Start linking" method and it worked after reset the micro module SEVERAL times.
