Lamplinc doesn't shut all the way off

Hi Guys;

I just bought two lamplinc and hooked one up to shut off the LED lights on the Christmas tree.

But I just noticed that the LEDS don`t quite shut off 100%

Is this a problem with the Lamplinc or is it because LEDS are being controlled

Drew

It is because LED's are being controlled. If you can add an additional small bulb to it it should be enough to get it to shutoff completely. Some people use a "brick" transformer (like a cell phone charger or something) so they don't have to light a light.

It is the local sensing current that keeps the LED lights dim all the time.

Even if you set the Local Control Off it is still there. Just that the module will ignore any local switches being toggled.

The ApplianceLincs also do the same thing.

thanks guys. I thought it had something to do with LEDs.

I'll plug in a cell charger to fix it.

If by some chance. The setup then gets poor communications. Some cell phone chargers make lots of power line noise.
