Cant Get this program back

Featured Replies

Hi guys;

I had this scene/program working perfectly but since redoing my ISY I can't seem to get it back.

I'm following all my steps in this post

http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/1110-night-scene/

but to no avail.

In short, I want to press one KPL button (in non toggle off mode)

this will shut off everything but leave four lights on at 20%

Then at sunrise have a program shut everything off.

It seems simple but then again so am I as it turns out.

Any light on the subject (I didn't mean to do that, apologizes) would be great.

Post you programs (right click on the program name, select Copy to Clipboard).

Bedtime Button - [iD 0008][Parent 0043]

If
Control 'Entryway KPL 7 Nighttime' is switched Off

Then
        Set Scene 'Nighttime' On

Else
   - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')

and this is the Off timer

Bedtime Button Off - [iD 0009][Parent 0043]

If
        Time is  5:30:00AM

Then
        Set Scene 'Nighttime' Off

Else
   - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')

For some reason when i push the Nighttime KPL button (set to non toggle off)
nothing happens

How many devices are in your scene? Are any Controllers? Does the timer program work?

  • Author

There are 26 separate devices in the scene

I don't have the controller in the scene. The KPL triggers the scene via a program.

(I have all the KPL buttons of each KPL in the scene as well to shut off, maybe that's an issue?)

I've not gotten to see if the timer to shut it off works as I can't get the program to trigger first.

The KPL that triggers the program is not in the scene

This seems like it should be easier than this.

Does the scene function correctly? Select the scene. Turn on a few of the 26 devices. What happens if you click on On? Off?

Have you factory reset your KPL at the KPL, and then Restored it from ISY?

When I click it (non toggle off) it flashes once.

None of the devices react

Larry:

No I haven't.

I could try that.

(pull the tab out for 10 seconds then push and hold all the way in for 10 seconds, correct?)

According to the manual hold it in until the buzzing stops (about 10 seconds)

There is not a non-Toggle off option in a scene, only for a button. But you indicated that the button is not part of the scene. What's the result when you control the scene, not the button?

I air gapped and restored the KPL.

Seems to be working. Thanks Larry and Stu

Although for some reason the KPL buttons on all the KPLs in the house light up

(buttons B-H, A button is off)

Is there a way I can also shut off all LEDs in my program?

I'll let you know if the timer works tomorrow

Create a scene with only the buttons you want to control as responders. Use a program statement to turn the button scene off.
