Alexa 302 Device Limit

Featured Replies

Has anybody discovered how to expand Smart Home devices above 302?

Is the only workaround subaccounts (i.e., first, second, third floor, etc...)?  Is there anyway to copy devices out of the main account or is it necessary to recreate them all?

Thanks.

Wow, I am impressed that anyone has gotten to the 302 device limit!!!  You, sir, are a true power user!  But I am curious, how did you determine that there is a 302 limit?

He's more of a resource user. I consider myself a power user and use that power to use less resources.

Have you tried LED bulbs to cut down on your power usage? :)

Unless you need to control all 302 devices from every location where you have an Echo, then create additional accounts. You can have up to five.

Every light bulb in and outside my house is LED.

They dont last long in woodstoves. :)

Why would you put one in a woodstove? They don't generate much heat B)

OMG! We have to stop meeting like this! :)

Are we up to 302 yet?

Hahahaha.  Sub accounts sound like the way to go...or I guess I can add some skills instead of using devices for some things in my setup.  I will have to see what's easiest.

My device count is being driven by a ton of programs with various network resources for my lighting, thermostats, directv, roku, sonos, multi zone receivers, and other various A/V equipment running through the ISY.

Works great...until I ran out of devices...

Right now I am just trying to unwind and while looking in the mirror, time to reflect.

That's a great time and place to talk in reverse. You may be able to take back everything you've said.
