is there a single bluetooth speaker that will play stereo, both left & right sides?  every time i find a stereo bluetooth speaker  it takes 2 of them.

i want it for my echco 2

Most single bluetooth speakers are stereo, but with both channels playing only inches apart, you won't experience much of a stereo effect.

stusviews that is true but at least i'll hear both sides of a song.

Even if the speaker was mono, as long as you have a stereo input (i.e., left and right), you'd hear both channels.

i know but so far i only get one side on stereo recordings :(

What are you listening on? How have you determined that you hear only one channel? Is it the left or right channel that's missing?

I have a couple of these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Jabra-Solemate-Mini-Portable-Wireless-Bluetooth-Speaker-Blue-Sealed-NEW-/371595583040?hash=item5684d29e40:g:PfIAAOSw8RJXB~t5 One of which I use with my Dot. The are well rated, with a lot of bang for the buck. They have both Bluetooth and a line-in with a storable cable.  They originally sold at Best Buys for $200; I got a NIB for $40.

"Powerful speakers" is meaningless. What is the power (watts/channel)?

What is an "echco 2"? Have they released a second generation?

That reference is to an Echo Dot which is a 2nd generation device. The original Echo has not changed.
