tibbar Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 This is so frustrating. I just installed FIBARO MOTION SENSOR FGMS-001. The box says Zwave Plus ver.3.2. At first it didn't include properly, second time it did but it did not report motion detection so I excluded it, reseted and included it again. Still not sure it did it right. I thought I would be cute and created a scene with Zwave light switch. It did not work right so I deleted it. Now when motion got detected ISY is sending "ON" commend to switch in infinite loop. ISY ver 5.0.2 Zwave ver 4.55
Michel Kohanim Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Hi tibbar, Can you please unplug ISY and see whether or not the light still responds to motion? With kind regards, Michel
danbutter Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Sometimes the admin console shows connected, but kinda isn't...I'm on 5.0.2 also and I have gotten into the habit of shutting it down and starting again each time I do something because of this. I had a similar issue with a program that was cleared up by doing this.
tibbar Posted February 1, 2017 Author Posted February 1, 2017 Hi Michel. When I first added FGMS-001 light on it indicated movement but ISY did not see it. I also deleted a program I had set up to turn a light on movement so that got rid of ISY turning light on in a loop. Right now it looks like it is working fine except battery level and shock sensor do not report. here is the info on the sensor: [ZW-SHOW ] ---------------------------------------------- [ZW-SHOW ] ZW046_1 uid=46 type=4.7.1 mid=271 tid=2049 pid=8193 model=0 [ZW-SHOW ] - x5E V0 ZWAVEPLUS_INFO [ZW-SHOW ] - x20 V0 BASIC [ZW-SHOW ] - x86 V0 VERSION [ZW-SHOW ] - x72 V2 MANUFACTURER_SPECIFIC [ZW-SHOW ] - x5A V0 DEVICE_RESET_LOCALLY [ZW-SHOW ] - x59 V0 ASSOCIATION_GRP_INFO [ZW-SHOW ] - x85 V2 ASSOCIATION [ZW-SHOW ] - x73 V0 POWERLEVEL [ZW-SHOW ] - x84 V2 WAKE_UP [ZW-SHOW ] - x80 V0 BATTERY [ZW-SHOW ] - x71 V5 NOTIFICATION [ZW-SHOW ] - x56 V0 CRC_16_ENCAP [ZW-SHOW ] - x70 V1 CONFIGURATION [ZW-SHOW ] - x31 V8 SENSOR_MULTILEVEL [ZW-SHOW ] - x8E V2 MULTI_INSTANCE_ASSOCIATION [ZW-SHOW ] - x22 V0 APPLICATION_STATUS [ZW-SHOW ] - x30 V0 SENSOR_BINARY [ZW-SHOW ] - x9C V0 SENSOR_ALARM [ZW-SHOW ] - x98 V0 SECURITY [ZW-SHOW ] - x7A V3 FIRMWARE_UPDATE_MD [ZW-SHOW ] sensorType= 1 scaleMask= 1 defScale=0 [ZW-SHOW ] sensorType= 3 scaleMask= 2 defScale=1 [ZW-SHOW ] sensorType= 25 scaleMask= 1 defScale=0 [ZW-SHOW ] sensorType= 52 scaleMask= 1 defScale=0 [ZW-SHOW ] sensorType= 53 scaleMask= 1 defScale=0 [ZW-SHOW ] sensorType= 54 scaleMask= 1 defScale=0 [ZW-SHOW ] [ZW-SHOW ] Node 46 - ZW 046 Notify Sensor has the following neighbors [ZW-SHOW ] - - Node 1 - [This ISY] [ZW-SHOW ] - Repeater - Node 2 - ZW 002 Thermostat [ZW-SHOW ] - Repeater - Node 3 - Sofit Front ZW 003 [ZW-SHOW ] - Repeater - Node 4 - ZW 004_In Rec LR_S_Wall [ZW-SHOW ] - Repeater - Node 9 - Outside Rec Driveway_ZW009 [ZW-SHOW ] - Repeater - Node 11 - Outside Rec Deck_ZW011 [ZW-SHOW ] - Repeater - Node 13 - Outside Rec Front_ZW013 [ZW-SHOW ] - Repeater - Node 14 - Soffit Deck ZW 014 [ZW-SHOW ] - Repeater - Node 15 - Soffit Driveway ZW 015 [ZW-SHOW ] - Repeater - Node 27 - Soffit Backlanding ZW 027 [ZW-SHOW ] - Repeater - Node 29 - ZW 029 On-Off Power Switch [ZW-SHOW ] - Repeater - Node 31 - ZW 031 Printer [ZW-SHOW ] - Repeater - Node 33 - ZW 033 Basement Coach Lamp [ZW-SHOW ] - Repeater - Node 34 - ZW 034 Porch Lamp [ZW-SHOW ] - Repeater - Node 36 - ZW 036 Basement Desk Lamp [ZW-SHOW ] - Repeater - Node 37 - Appliance Module ZW 037 [ZW-SHOW ] - Repeater - Node 42 - ZW 042 Porch Light [ZW-SHOW ] - Repeater - Node 43 - Porch Tree ZW 043 [ZW-SHOW ] [ZW-SHOW ] Node 46 - ZW 046 Notify Sensor cannot retrieve association groups [ZW-SHOW ] [ZW-SHOW ] ---------------------------------------------- danbutter- it wasn't admin console giving me the grief, the lights on the ISY indicated that it was trying to communicate.
Michel Kohanim Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Hi tibbar, I am no longer certain what's working and what's not. Is it still the case that the deleted scene is continuing to work? Hi danbutter, Do you also have deleted scenes that work on their own? With kind regards, Michel
tibbar Posted February 2, 2017 Author Posted February 2, 2017 . Right now it looks like it is working fine except battery level and shock sensor do not report. That was yesterday.
tibbar Posted February 2, 2017 Author Posted February 2, 2017 Well today ISY does not receive motion notice from sensor. Sensors light goes on when there is motion. I give up. I'm sorry but it seams that ISY works really well with Insteon but Zwave thats another story.
danbutter Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Hi danbutter,Do you also have deleted scenes that work on their own? With kind regards,MichelI'm not having issues with this now. What seems to have happened in my case was I had tried to delete a program or scene and I used a computer that had already been running the admin console from a day or so before to do it. Then when nothing happened after it looked like it was deleted I shut down the console and logged in again and it was still there. I deleted again and it took that time. So now I make sure that I log out and back in each time I want to change anything. This is 5.0.2. I just wanted to use node servers so I haven't tried any of the alphas yet.
oberkc Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 I give up. My experience with zwave is a little more positive than yours. If I may be so bold, I don't think you are doing yourself any favors here. Perhaps you missed it, but there was a question posed to you: "Can you please unplug ISY and see whether or not the light still responds to motion?" Did you ever respond to this question? My sense is that there are folks here who are taking the time from their lives to try to help, but when the communication is one-way, often both sides are disappointed, with the side having issues failing to solve the problem and the helping side tending to lose interest. If you still want assistance, my suggestion is to re-review the thread and respond to those questions posed. Alternatively, you may find UDI request for technical support to be a good option. Short of that, I suspect you will continue to experience frustration.
tibbar Posted February 2, 2017 Author Posted February 2, 2017 Did i unplugged ISY?-- YES. It was the only way stop infinite loop isy was trying to turn the switch on. Is the light respond to motion-- not very clear question.-- The sensor sees the motion, indicates it with the light but isy does not see it ( does not receive notification). Excuse me for not answering clearly it may be because English is my second language.
oberkc Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Excuse me for not answering clearly it may be because English is my second language. No apology needed. Your english is FAR better than my second language. Is the light respond to motion-- not very clear question. I believe the intent of this question was to suggest unplugging the ISY and LEAVING IT UNPLUGGED to see if the light would still respond (turn on) when motion was sensed (while the ISY was unpowered). I assume that this is to eliminate the possibility that your motion sensor has become a secondary controller of the light. Trying experiments such as these can help isolate the root cause of the problem. If the problem persists with the ISY unplugged, this tends to suggest that the problem may be unrelated to the ISY programs or scenes. If the problem goes away with the ISY unplugged, this tends to confirm that the problem is associated with some aspect of the ISY. I must admit that I am selfishly interested to the answer to this question. The sensor sees the motion, indicates it with the light but isy does not see it ( does not receive notification). This statement suggests to me that you did not leave the ISY unplugged during your test.
tibbar Posted February 3, 2017 Author Posted February 3, 2017 This statement suggests to me that you did not leave the ISY unplugged during your test.No i did not. I didn't understand that was being asked for me to do. I'm at work right now, I'll try it when I get home and report back. Thanks.
tibbar Posted February 3, 2017 Author Posted February 3, 2017 Ok, I'm not sure if that is what you guys are asking but here it is: 1. ISY unplugged from power - sensor flashes blue to indicate motion and colours to indicate tamper alarm if i try to move it. 2. Isy plugged back in and it looks like it is not communicating with sensor. 3. Moved sensor 6 inches away from ISY- no difference ISY is not report anything from sensor. What about problem indicated in this topic: http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/19561-fibaro-z-wave-motion-sensor-fgms-001/?do=findComment&comment=184851 Thanks.
Michel Kohanim Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Hi danbutter, Thanks for the clarifications. Are you certain that you hit the Save button when you deleted the programs. Hi tibbar, The original post was about deleting a scene WHILE the devices still responded to the same scene. So, the question was whether or not the devices still responded to the scene when ISY was not in the picture. So, I guess that has already been solved. The next issue is that the sensor randomly sends events to ISY, correct? If so, the best way to address this is to check the neighbors and make sure that the neighbors are all powered (non-battery operated). I think what's happening is that some of the neighbors go to sleep and then you stop getting events. You might want to do heal network and make sure the path from the sensor to ISY is through powered devices (this should be automatic but it's always good to verify). So, from the post above, which one of the devices has a path to ISY? With kind regards, Michel
