Just like there is a check box for home screen, could there be a check box for notification? This would allow the user to select which items. Ideally, they would only display when the status changes. And it should have the ability to use the custom actions or values. (Open, closed, locked, unlocked or temperatures). Maybe for values there could be a range that if it were out then it would notify. Sent from my PURE XL using Tapatalk I have discussed this before and without near real-time push notifications from the ISY without the app running, then notifications are less important because the app has to be running and subscribed in order to receive nodes changes. The only way to do this correctly and with any success would be to have UDI implement something like this directly into the ISY and have devices subscribe to the GCM/FCM push manager or have a third party create a program that can run on a raspberry pi or local server equivalent that can handle the notifications push them the the GCM/FCM service and in turn notify the app of the event. I have been asked to put together a proof of concept. I just have not had any time to do this. If anyone else wants to volunteer I would have no issues working with them.
