Any plans to support Refresh Devices?

I noticed to make any changes with Google Home I need to completely unlink the Universal devices plug in from Google Home, re-add the devices, and then re-associate the devices.  This gets to be pretty problematic if you have many devices.

Google supports a refresh request via request Sync, https://developers.google.com/actions/smarthome/create-app#request-sync .

Is this a feature that universal is working on?

Thanks,

+1 for this request. I like to use Google Home's rooms to manage my light groups rather than ISY scenes, so it's a huge pain to have to re-assign all the devices to their proper rooms every time I make a change.

Yes there's now a button on the portal Google home page to force a refresh.

You can now refresh your linked accounts by telling google!!!!  just say" OK Google, sync my devices"

I  just tried this and indeed  GH responded with "synching with Samsung Home, Nest and Universal Devices"......  Amazing.

P.S.  I have my Samsung washer and dryer connected to GH but have no clue what use / benefit this gives  :-)

You can also sync just a single platform also by just stating that one.  So "OK Google, sync my Universal Devices" if you want.

You can start them, pause the dryer, check what mode they are in and status.

Indeed very useful if I were to do the laundry at home ...... :-P

I think it's more of a "look at what I can do" gimmick. Just don't see a real need for it to be honest. I do like the washer on top though. That's the only good part about it

Does it at least alert the user when the cycle is done? Given how many people have asked and tried the same. I would hope the appliances would send the user a notification that it was done.

I think the benefits to start, stop, pause a task would be for those who subscribe to ToU or demand response (DR) energy load shedding.

I've seen a few members showing us crazy KWH costs that exceed $0.65 per KWH!!

It doesn't automatically alert to cycles being done. You can ask for that info but it won't do it on its own. The Samsung app also shows it being finished. I wouldnt mind that feature as its proactive instead of reactive.

It's a new feature. Maybe in time things like that will be integrated
