Or pets. During those years, the brittlest and most expensive went higher up and the kids given the more robust ones, lower down to hang... shorter drop to the floor as well :D

Do you suppose anyone has determined the economic impact of 5-year-old children handling ornaments?

 

We started a tradition of having two tree's one large one and one smaller. The smaller one was reserved for those keep sake one of a kind ornaments which the *Grown Ups* handled the placement of said item.

 

Then again a few cups of that real egg nog accidents were right up there with the kids . . .  :mrgreen:

Who ever thought Christmas Trees in the home, should appear as if they were still growing in the floor?

 

Let's start a tradition (from the movie Avatar?) with Christmas trees hung from the ceiling on a hook, so kids and pets can't reach them. We'll talk about getting power to the lights later.

More room for presents under tree then too. Hanging mistletoe from the ceiling worked well after we changed that one, and the present was much better usually, so why not the trees too?
