gisaac78 Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 Ok so its probably been several months since I logged into the admin console. I start up Chrome on my Mac and I get the error "java 2+ required" I have the latest java. I have the ISY994 admin console link on the desktop and when I open it says ISY not found. And to add, it requires a URL. Where do I get this? I also started a ISY portal account and input ISY UUID and it can't be found... Please help. Thanks G
ScottAvery Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 Is the ISY turned on and receiving a signal from your router? Do you know the IP address of your ISY? You can get to the web console (just an HTTP interface) by typing in the IP in your browser. You may have to check the client list in your router. If you can get that far, you can reinstall the current java admin console from within the web console. Trying to run the admin console directly from the web page will result in the same java 2 error, but selecting the install option will get everything in synch. It has been a long time, but as I recall there are specific instructions to follow for setting up the portal account that you have to execute inside the admin console, so you will have to resolve that first.
Michel Kohanim Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 Hi gisaac78, Are you certain you are on the same network as ISY? Are you certain that ISY's error light is not blinking? Have you tried the latest UI? http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#Admin_Console_Icon_on_Your_Desktop With kind regards, Michel
ScottAvery Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 Also note this thread below. Apparently there are new issues with running Java apps as browser support is disappearing. https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/22991-cannot-load-admin-console/
vcholman Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Hello Michel, Slightly changing the subject here. Recently we replaced our router and I have been changing the static IP in the configuration settings. I did something and now when I launch the ISY994 Admin Console on my desktop, all that starts up is the ISY Finder window. What can i do to get into the main application so I can see all my Insteon devices and programs? Thank, Vance 1
