Eclypse Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 I have finally convinced the wife to let me install the ELK M1G system. Are there any tips on making it work correctly with my ISY 99? I think there was a post where someone from Smart Home outlined the steps necessary to have the two units communicate. I thought it was a sticky, but it's not there. Firmware versions seem to have been an issue. Will I still need to downgrade the Firmware? Any insight or advice is greatly appreciated.
Michel Kohanim Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Hello clyp, Here's the link to the documentation: http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewtopic.php?t=634 The following issues have come up more than once: 1. Make sure you enable the non-secure port for your ELK (2101) and use it in ISY 2. If you have more than 256 nodes/scenes, then you are going to run out of room in ELK 3. Please make sure not to use any special characters in the name of your devices With kind regards, Michel I have finally convinced the wife to let me install the ELK M1G system. MikeB Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 One more thing - please use the latest Elk firmware (5.1.14), as previous firmware versions have been known to cause issues.
