Lerxst
Hi All, I have an Insteon 2441TH Thermostat which I want to control via my Echos. When adding this device to the ISY, it creates three nodes, one labeled "Main", one "Cool ctl" and one "Heat ctl". From what I've seen so far, pretty much everything I need to do with the thermostat can be controlled via the "Main" node, and I added this as an Echo device. From this I can use Alexa to change the temperature setpoint if a mode has been activated, and I can ask for the temperature at the unit. My question: What are the "Cool ctl" and "Heat ctl" nodes for? Should I also add them to the Echo configuration, and if so what voice commands do they provide? Do these allow me to turn 'Heat' and 'Cool' modes on and off via voice? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Michel Kohanim
Hi Lerxst, Cool ctl is on when the thermostat is calling for cool. Heat ctl is on when the thermostat is calling for heat. You can use these inside scenes as controllers. With kind regards, Michel 1 Quote Link to comment
