Can someone give their opinion/comparison against Lutron Claro Eaton Screwless Legrand Radiant Hubbell Screwless Are the "white" colors really off enough to matter much? I have one Insteon dimmer next to two HS-WS-200+ in a Lutron Claro and the Insteon is whiter than the HS switch but seems to match well with the Lutron Claro plate. IS it worth ordering the wall plates from smarthome vs just grabbing some at Lowes and saving on the shipping?
jec6613 Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 I can't speak to the Insteon plates directly, but the Leviton DecoraPlus Screwless are a bang-on match with the switches. As are their outlets and switches from the same line.

As are their outlets and switches from the same line. I'll keep that in mind. I wanted to replace some wall plates while I'm swapping switches... just wanting to make sure they match well.
paulbates Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 I used the Leviton Screwless a few years ago, the snap part was a little cheap and did stand up well if it had to be unsnapped a number of times, like on a multi-gang when adding more switches. Maybe Decora plus fixed that, not sure I ended up with the Leviton Claros. Really solid installation and looks good to me, there's no obvious difference color between the switch and plate Paul

Really solid installation and looks good to me, there's no obvious difference color between the switch and plate I have a switch in a triple gang Lutron Claro currently and I asked my wife and daughter and "they said" the switch was "slightly" yellow'er more of a cream than the plate... myself I don't see it... that's why I asked them. Of course now I'm wondering if they were looking at the "correct" switch as there are also 2 HS-WS-200+ in the same place which are a little darker than the Claro plate.... hmmm....

simplextech Posted February 2, 2019 Author Posted February 2, 2019 Maybe slight difference? To me not enough. I like the KPL next to the dimmer. I just ordered my first KPL for a FanLinc I got... I like the options of the KPL that don't exist in the z-wave world that I'm used to.

SmartHome.com does not have any filler plates listed for the wall plates??? So which of the brands out there color match the best? Lutron? Or generic white? Yes the proper answer is what filler plates?? put a KPL in there!
