C Martin Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 I downloaded the 2.4.11 beta and found a problem. On Program loading, all of my programs were disabled. I had to manually enable programs. In the Program Summary window, the Program Enable Button has no effect. After manually enabling my programs, in the Program Details Window, when I returned to the Program Summary window the Enabled field Status shows Off. The progam Enabled field does not show the true program status, along with the fact that the new release disables all of the Progams. Quote
sceaton Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 This happened to me too, although 2 of my programs were "On", the rest were "Off". (They were all supposed to be "On") I closed the gui, as well as all browser windows, then logged in again. This time, all programs were correctly enabled. Quote
C Martin Posted October 12, 2007 Author Posted October 12, 2007 I tried logging off and on again several times, but no luck for me. I have actually reverted back to 4.9 for the time being. Quote
Mark Sanctuary Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 It could be your browser cache holding old files. Try clearing out your web browser’s temporary internet files and rebooting you computer then I think you should be able to log in correctly. This has been a common issue for many with the new beta. C Martin Posted October 12, 2007 Author Posted October 12, 2007 Intersting. I will try emptying my cache. Quote

Definitely something going on here. I can't enable the programs either. Clearing the cache has no effect for me. Also, every other time that I log on (out of 5 times), 10-20% of my devices are no communicating with ISY. Quote
sfhutchi Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 Well... With a few more closing browsers and logging back in.. I can get the programs enabled... but I am randomly losing communication to devices that historically have been rock-solid. I even have devices that are side by side where one lost comm and the other is still there. Have to LampLincs plugged together at the pass-through where one lost communication. Before returning to 2.4.10... I will reset the PLM and ISY. Does anyone have a trouble-free 2.4.11 setup? Quote
MikeB Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 Mine seems OK, but I haven't played much. Just loaded it up, and left it. Logged in a couple times to do simple things (created a new scene). My timers are still running. Quote
Sub-Routine Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 I wouldn't have called this discussion Bugs... Some of you may be too anxious to restart the Administrative Console after updating. The ISY can stay busy for quite a while, depending on the number of devices you have. I am guilty as well, wondering why I can't Log In until I notice all the activity on the ISY and PLM. All my schedules worked overnight, but that happened in 2.4.10 once When the ISY rebooted after the 2.4.11 install I did notice that many of my Programs were run although Program Summary stated none were enabled at the time. The only glitch I had was that my Dawn scene was called after my Evening scene although it was evening. Not a big deal as at least the lights were turned on. I like the Run at Reboot option in the Program Summary page. Unfortunately the state is not updated until the Console is quit and restarted, and, as noted above, I'm not sure the states matter. I see the new [Applied Locally] tag in scenes. Nice. No pop up when changes are made yet. I will mess with some new Programs and report back... Thank you, Rand Quote
sfhutchi Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 I wouldn't have called this discussion Bugs... Well... C Martin did call it 'Problems'... so you could say that he gave it the benefit of the doubt. I too had problems with the initial install. Even after things have 'died down', I can't communicate to the switches from the console. The schedules are working though. I did not see this with any of the previous upgrades. I will continue playing around with it. Quote

You are correct, but I did want to sneak in at least some good things in about the release As far as your switches are concerned, I have had to do a Restore Device on some. Michel said that it is the PLM losing links. Another glitch in the Program Summary. Programs that ran in the noon hour are incorrectly labeled AM. Programs that ran during the midnight hour are correctly labeled AM. Also, when the list is sorted by Last Run/Finish Time items that occurred at 12AM are listed after items at 3AM. Sorting by military time should be used, even if the display is in standard time. Thank you, Rand Quote
sfhutchi Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 Well... I am officially back to 2.4.10 now. Before doing this I cleared the browser cache, opened and closed the console multiple times, left it alone overnight to rest , rebooted ISY, restored PLM. Finally reverted to 2.4.10 and things are back to normal. Quote
Chris Jahn Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Regarding the issues with programs in 2.4.11 ... If the 'Program Summary' window does not include a 'Run at Reboot' column, then you are using a 2.4.10 or earlier version of the client. In this case, the rest of the settings on that page (eg. Enabled) will not show the correct values. You will need to close your browser, clear your java cache and start it again. The 'Run at Reboot' setting is not being updated in the GUI, although it is being set properly in the box itself. Therefore, until the next drop, hit the 'Refresh' button after changing these values. I'll have a look at the AM/PM problem for the last run/finish time columns. Quote
Sub-Routine Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Chris, I thought you would have warned everyone about my Sunday fun Do not create an "On Never" condition for any Folders or Programs in version 2.4.11. I really need a way to comment out lines Quote
