adamthp Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 Is anyone else having portal issues? My portal status in the AC shows connected, but when I log into the portal it is sometimes showing connected, and sometimes showing disconnected. I tried a reboot and no changes. Even when the portal shows connected I have no Google Home connection. Thanks! Update: I got two Google Home commands to go through, now it has stopped working again. I did have both the AC and portal showing connected, but now the AC status still shows connected, but portal shows disconnected. Update 2.0: I managed to refresh my occupancy status via the portal/isy node server. But no Google Home commands working. I did have green status in the AC and portal. Then when I went to the Google Home tab in the portal I got a programs not available error...and now the portal status if offline, but green in the AC.
Michel Kohanim Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 @adamthp, The first place to look is the error log. I suspect ISY has connectivity issues to the Internet. With kind regards, Michel

Michel Kohanim Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 @adamthp, This is related to a bug in 5.0.14. Please go to https://polyglot.isy.io and stop all your node servers. Once that's done, please let me know whether or not connectivity to the portal is restored. With kind regards, Michel
adamthp Posted February 11, 2019 Author Posted February 11, 2019 hmmm I deleted the Nest polyglot portal node server from my ISY before this all started. Now the polyglot home page just shows loading. At first I could see it was online in the background, and there was a stream of errors on the right side. Now it shows offline in the background, but still just shows loading.
adamthp Posted February 11, 2019 Author Posted February 11, 2019 now its back to showing online in the background.. and the stream of errors are back. Still just shows loading.
Michel Kohanim Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 @adamthp Can you please cut/paste the stream of errors? With kind regards, Michel

Michel Kohanim Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 @adamthp, On it. Please stay tuned. With kind regards, Michel
adamthp Posted February 11, 2019 Author Posted February 11, 2019 Thanks! Any good if I install a backup from before I deleted the nest portal node?
Michel Kohanim Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 Hi @adamthp, Yes, it would help ISY but not the node server. With kind regards, Michel
Michel Kohanim Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 @adamthp, As a matter of fact, restoring your backup will fix some of these issues. With kind regards, Michel
adamthp Posted February 11, 2019 Author Posted February 11, 2019 @Michel Kohanim I just wanted to check best practices. I have added a couple of new z-wave devices since my last backup. Is there any issue with restoring the previous backup? Is there a path for me to be able to reload this current configuration? I have been working on a bunch of programs lately, and if not I want to make sure and note all my changes now. Thanks!
Michel Kohanim Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 @adamthp, Yes, restore the backup and then do Z-Wave | Tools | Synchronize | All. This will bring back the Z-Wave nodes in the dongle. With kind regards, Michel
adamthp Posted February 11, 2019 Author Posted February 11, 2019 @Michel Kohanim Restored from a previous backup, but I'm continuing to have all the same issues. This backup had both the Nest PGC, and WeatherFlow PGC. Update. Maybe I spoke too soon. I can now control from Google Home again.
Michel Kohanim Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 @adamthp, Can you please delete those node servers from ISY OR restore a backup that does not include node servers? With kind regards, Michel
adamthp Posted February 11, 2019 Author Posted February 11, 2019 @Michel Kohanim I haven't deleted the nodes from the AC yet, but I am able to access polyglot cloud again. Should I deleted the nodes from the AC, or from the polyglot cloud?
Michel Kohanim Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 @adamthp, It's best to remove from both. And, then, you can try the Nest again. With kind regards, Michel
adamthp Posted February 11, 2019 Author Posted February 11, 2019 @Michel Kohanim I removed both node servers from PGC, and they then removed themselves from the ISY. I then restored the backup I made this morning when this all started and everything is working! I can log in to polyglot cloud with no errors. ( I no longer have any nodes installed.... but that was the point of removing the nest node this morning). Google Home commands and occupancy are working fine through the portal. Thanks as always for taking the time to help! You really make owing an ISY so much more enjoyable knowing you're always quick to reply and work through issues, much appreciated.
