Newbie now has a SECOND problem with Motion Sensors

So I’ve got an Insteon Motion Sensor II that I can’t figure out  to configure properly, and I’m foolishly trying to add a second one.   As luck would have it I’ve totally forgotten how I added the FIRST one.  I click on Add new Insteon device, give it a unique name, select the 2842-222 Motion Sensor from the drop down list.  Get the message that says the sensor needs to be put in communication mode.  Do that.  Click on OK.  Nothing happens.  Nothing new shows up in the device list.  I could really use some counsel.

Thanks for anything anyone can offer.

I always type in the Insteon address found on the device and let ISY figure it out. Battery devices must be put in linking mode first or they will not answer. It may have just been too late and ISY doesn't retry?

Did you type in the address as larryllix suggested? once that is done, put it inlinking mode and then add it to the ISY

Of course typing in the address solved my dilemma.  I know (or remember now) that that's what I did the first time.  I could easily say it was caused by the fact that the address is hidden underneath the battery and thus 'out of sight, out of mind' but it's basically early-onset senility.  Thanks to all of you for your input.

Early ISY onset syndrome?  I bet that won't deter you though! :):)
