I no longer use the ISY's Z-Wave card, is there a way to disable the radio?

Why?  There's no need to disable it.

One less piece of RF interference in the house and one less resource running on the ISY.  

ehh... ok

Not sure how much resources the radio just being active would use.  But it's still a good question.  I don't think it can be disabled though... but I'm interested in finding out!

Precisely, it's a removable module.  And RF interference in the 900 MHz band?  They use Z-Wave in Las Vegas hotels without running into interference.

Have you tried it?  Cause there's a software module that still kicks around.  Who knows how the ISY breaks then.

Every other controller I use has a disable option.  I'm not looking for shoot from the hips, I was asking a technical question.

Don't need to try it. Most likely it's not putting out much of anything (if at all) since there is nothing connected for it to talk to. Besides, the zwave version of the isy is the exact same as the regular version except for the additional (removable) board inside. 

At the end of the day, the amount of rf inside is minuscule compared to the amount of rf in the air now. Removing it is probably akin to removing a bucket of water from the ocean.

My OCD pushes me to dtoverlay=pi3-disable-wifi, zero cloud, block internet access to every IP camera in my house, and replace my KRACK-vulnerable GEM board with a custom solution.

If I don't need it, I turn it off.

I disable all unneeded interfaces as well, it's good practice, but in this case the solution is dead simple: the Z-Wave board is removable.  Look up the Z-Wave installation instructions, and just reverse them, and you can always put it back in if things change.

I run the same software without a Zwave card. Power down, pull the card, power up.

Unless you have devices defined???
