Adding Z-Wave?

Do you have the SEM module for energy measurement?  If so, then no.  You need the external zwave module.

If you decide to get the SEM and external zwave, you will need a special build of the firmware.  Trust me, I banged my head for weeks on this!

So I got my Z-wave daughter card, installed it, and firmware 5.0.16C.  When I'm in the Admin portal, I don't see anything different.  How do I know the Z-wave module is working?  Should there be a Z-wave menu in the Admin portal?  Not sure to even add a Z-wave device.  I have Z-wave motion detector to add.

There should be a Z-Wave menu tab at the top of the Admin Console.

And if there's not?

I would try removing the Z-Wave daughter board and reinstalling it per instructions.

I removed the Z-wave card.  See attached photo. I added the daughter card. I plugged it into the bottom row of the 2-row connector although I doubt it matters.   See 2nd photo. Still no Z-wave menu.  Now what?

Thanks.  I'm trying to do that per the instructions (attached screenshot).  But when I go to Help/Purchase Modules, I get logged in with my portal credentials and then cannot find anywhere to purchase this Z-wave module for $1.

Once you log into your account. Click on "My products". You should then be able to select your device and then taken to the page where you can purchase modules.

Add the product information. Select product from the dropdown product list. Enter serial number and date purchased. Click on add.

I tried to add the Polisy Pro a few days ago and couldn't find a serial number.  I submitted a ticket and they said registering didn't do anything right now so it wasn't necessary.  For the Zwave daughter card, I see no daughter card item in the drop down menu.  What do I pick to register it?  None of the options make sense.

OK I guess I need to open a support ticket.  I tried to register my ISY-994i and the site says I entered an invalid serial number.  I took a picture of it so I know I got it right.  But I did buy this ISY some time ago. No clue when. But it didn't complain about purchase date, just serial number.  Support ticket here I come.  Thanks for trying.

I checked my registration and I am registered by the serial number. Are there characters in your serial number that might be mistaken for something else - for example an O vs 0?

The serial number contains the UUID without colon symbols. If I remember correctly, when adding an ISY you enter the UUID without colon symbols and the system adds the remaining serial number characters.

OK, thanks for all the help. I got my ISY registered with the uuid and purchased the Zwave module for $1. My ISY is rebooting as I type.  And I know see a Z-Wave menu.  Yay.  Again, many thanks go this group!

One other question for you guy on getting started.  I bought a Zooz ZSE29 V2 Outdoor Motion Sensor.  I have it added to my Admin console. Yay!  I'm testing this in my office. My ISY is in the basement almost directly under my office. I see the ZW 002 Motion Sensor 1 go to an On state when I wave my hand in front of it and back to an Off state when it has been undisturbed for a few seconds.  I tried moving to about the middle of my house (ranch style) and it still worked. When I moved it to the far end of the house, it no longer changed states on motion.  My goal is put this outside the front of our house.  I'm assuming I need to get at least a couple Z-wave plugs to increase the mesh network for Zwave - is that probably what is going on here?

That is the challenge with battery powered devices, range and life.  Look at installing switches and or plugs.  If you don't want to mess with wiring, their are some zwave electrical outlet plugins from monoprice that work well.
