Wyze Camera support

Featured Replies

I am trying to connect to my Wyze Pan camera via MobiLinc.  I am using the RTSP firmware and am able to see the stream using this URL on VLC media player:

rtsp://<user><password>@192.168.1.120:554/live

How do I configure the app to get this stream?  I filled in the local http:// field, the RTSP port, the user name and password, and for the RTSP Addr I used /live but no luck.

Thanks for your help.

My guess is the Wyse cams are a proprietary protocol stream. I have never heard of anybody cracking the stream or the controls. I have five Wyse Cam 1s.

I have my Wyze camera connected to a Camect NVR and that is working (via the cloud of course) so there must be a way to access their stream as a 3rd party.  I just reflashed my Wyze camera with Beta RTSP software from Wyze.  The RTSP is now available on the URL I listed above, I confirmed it with a media player on my pc.  I'll bet there is a way for MobLinc to see it too.

Edit: I figured it out, it works!  The issue was to not include the"/" with live in the RTSP addr.

Hi @tmorse305

You can also pick the "Wyze" camera type in MobiLinc. RTSP Profile 1 matches the RTSP firmware you detailed above.

Thanks Wes, I must be running an older version of MobiLinc, Wyze wasn't a choice I had.  Time for an update.

Hi @tmorse305,

When you create a new camera, select "Camera Type."
Then, tap "Refresh" in the upper right corner. This will download the latest camera profiles from our servers.

Scroll down and select "Wyze" from the list of cameras.

Wes
