farslayer9 Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 I have five lights in my entryway. Four lights are in a group called "Entryway lights." The other light is in a group called "Alien light" (don't ask). Anyway, the "entryway lights" has four lights in the group. There is no group for the "alien light." Google home is showing a group called "entryway lights" with five lights in it, not four. The alien light does not appear. When I say "Hey Google, turn on entryway lights", it turns on all five, not just the four in the group. I also defined a group called "reptile lights" which has two sockets. If I say "Hey Google, turn on reptile lights", it tells me that the group isn't defined. This doesn't show up in Google Home at all, though the sockets do. How do I make this work? I want only four lights to come on when I say to turn on the entryway lights, and for two sockets to come on when I say turn on reptile lights. If I manually turn on these in Tuya the correct number of entryway lights come one, and if I click the reptile lights button in Tuya then the outlets come on. What is happening here?

Is this through the isy or direct with Google? How is it set up
farslayer9 Posted September 25, 2020 Author Posted September 25, 2020 I use the Tuya app to detect and name the devices (they plug into the light socket and then the light bulb screws into them) to set up groups and the devices, and then my Tuya account is linked to Google Home, where it sees everything. The weird part is that I have everything else set up the same way and it seems to work. I can't find instructions on how to do this anywhere. I'm ready to toss them and go with the GE lights, at least those are easy to set up and config. I set up my bedroom lights the same way with these Tuya devices and it was just fine. I can take some screenshots, maybe that would help.
