Default Mail Server Is Down - Back to normal on 12/03/2020

12/03/2020 Update

Things are slowly going back to normal. There were a few ISYs which were sending text messages every second to phone numbers that may have been changed. Plus, there were some spammers using our mail relay.

Again, it's always much better and more secure to use a dummy gmail account specifically for this purpose: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY994:Configure_Mail_Server_Settings#Configuring_gmail_Account

Hello all,

Within the past 2 days, we had a dramatic increase in the number of mail messages through our mail server some of which was spam. While we investigate the root cause, we may have to intermittently shutdown the mail server. As such, and with regret, you might experience not getting your email alerts and texts.

In the meantime, it's always much better and more secure to use a dummy gmail account specifically for this purpose: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY994:Configure_Mail_Server_Settings#Configuring_gmail_Account

With sincere apologies,

Michel
