Just got the 500 module and will be installing it into my 994i/IR PRO over my Christmas Vacation time (not much else to do...thanks Covid!).  I was wondering if folks could recommend the make/model of receptacles I should buy to get this thing going?

I am on the current firmware (5.3.0) and my network is currently all Insteon devices (126 of them), voice controlled by Alexa and works very solid.  I have two areas where I am getting some signal loss in the power line and can't find it...but other than that, solid performance.

My plan is to continue to use Insteon for 99.5% of my lighting but augment it with Z-Wave in the areas I am having trouble and replace some normal receptacles around the house for added convenience (get rid of the LampLinc bricks) and build the Z-Wave mesh.

Also, if there is a particular style plug in module (like the LampLinc) I would be interested to know that as well.  Or specific repeaters that are best (are there wire in ones that I can get?).

Thanks

Ge has zwave plus receptacles which also support beaming (which is needed for locks). Eaton also has a zwave plus outlet which is cheaper but does not support beaming. Leviton has a 700 series receptacles coming out but I don't know when as it's already passed it's initial release date (pushed back due to covid)

Thanks @lilyoyo1, is this the GE one that you are referring to?  It was one of the ones I put on my list.  It is the Enbrighten 55256 Z-Wave Plus Smart Receptacle

https://www.amazon.com/GE-Enbrighten-Controllable-SmartThings-14288/dp/B07361JZ2H/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=ge+zwave+receptacle&qid=1607887269&sr=8-4

Yes, that's the one. I like the feel of Eaton's plug much better(disappointed it doesn't contain beaming), but the ge works really well

Thanks.  I was trying to figure out how to determine if things support Beaming or not...is that a particular protocol or setting or something?  In other words, from an ad...how do I know the GE support it...what do I look for?  I am planning to install locks so I don't want to purchase devices that don't support it if my locks wont work without it.

Thanks.

Here's the link to the official Z-Wave Product DB.

https://products.z-wavealliance.org/

Here's the link to the GE/Enbrighten receptacle:

https://products.z-wavealliance.org/products/3892?selectedFrequencyId=2

All devices will have a Conformance statement that goes over the z-wave characteristics.

Thanks!  I went to that site and looked at it, but did not read the "Conformance Statement"...that was the ticket!  :)
