Reset ISY-99 and PLM - moved house

Hello,

I've searched for the answer here but can't find all the info I am looking for. I have just moved house and want to completely reset my ISY so that I can start my network again. I have reset the ISY and all the config has gone, but do I need to do anything to the PLM? When I log in now the ISY says 'System Busy' and then 'Linking' and i get the progress bar that has been building links for the last 24 hours. I am therefore thinking I need to wipe the PLM too so that both the ISY and the PLM are in factory new state. Is this correct? If not, what should I do to get me back to the beginning?

Thanks for any advice

Jon

Have you tried a Factory reset on the PLM?

Unplug the PLM

Disconnect the ISY99i from the PLM

While holding the Set Button, plug the PLM in and hold the set button for three seconds. Release the button and wait for the LED to turn back on.

Then you can unplug the PLM and reconnect the ISY99i

I assume Jon would also be wanting to factory default all his Insteon devices? Otherwise, what is gained by just resetting the ISY/PLM?

Hi WayneW,

If the change is only the PLM then there's no need to do restore devices; restore PLM changes the PLM id of all devices with the PLM id of the newly installed PLM.

With kind regards,

Michel
