Discovered this when trying to configure 2 new Zooz ZSE18 Motion Sensors.When I got the same errors on both, I tried query one a Dome door window sensor and got similar results.

@scrutch I'm considering buying one or more of these. Have you been able get this resolved?

The problem is still not resolved.  I am so frustrated I am considering making them a contribution to an artificial reef.

This has the makings for the journal of irreprduceable results.  I have a ticket open with UD.  2 weeks and no response to my last question.s

I have set the project aside because it is just too frustrating.  I will work on building resolve and go back to it soon.

 

I noticed on another (now locked) thread that @simplextech reported that he has one of these. Perhaps another source of information or, at least, commiseration when you decide to tackle it again.

If they're battery operated then you would be unable to query or set parameters unless the device is in the linking mode.

Z-Wave battery devices must be "awake" and listening for a query to function.  On most Z-Wave battery devices their manuals provide directions for how to wake up the device.  This is usually 1 or more presses of the button used to include/exclude them.

I got a Zooz ZSE29 motion sensor today and was trying to set parameters from the notify sensor page, even with pressing the tamper switch 3 times to wake up the sensor. I could not query or set parameters. But when I right click, select zwave and then select set configuration parameters from this small window I can query and set parameters when waking up the sensor.

That's how it's supposed to be done

But what is confusing,  these are listed on the notify sensor page. But do not work and I had forgotten about using other method.
