One scene to the next without turning the light off first

I would like to know how I can transition from one scene to the next without having to turn the lights off first?javascript:emoticon('')

Here's what I'm thinking. I have the light in the kitchen turned on at the switch or remotely @ 50%. I then have a scene that includes the kitchen light, but in the scene the light should be set to 30% along with the lights in the great room. What happens is that when I turn the scene on it will turn the kitchen light off on the first push of the keylinc then the next time I push the same button it will set all of the lights correctly. So how can I transition from one scene to the next without the lights needing to go off?

I may not be a lot of help, but I can at least confirm that it is possible. I have two scenes involving the same devices, and the transition is as you desire. We at least know it is possible. I guess the trick is to figure out how yours is set up differently than mine.

Perhaps a few more details about your installation would help. Are you using an ISY? What device is controlling the kitchen light? What device (keylinc? keypadlink?) are you using to initiate the scene? Are you using the ISY to establish all these scenes?

My setup is using the ISY-99i to control all of the scenes and manage all devices. The kitchen light is the Insteon 2476D. I have it set to come on at 50% from 2 AM to 11 AM then 70% after that time. The great room overhead light and Kitchen are in a scene called "TV time" and it is set to put the lights at 30%. This is using a KeypadLinc 2486PBK and TV time is button "A". If one or both lights are on before I push "A" then it will power off the device that is part of the scene and on the second push it will set the lights correctly. What I want to happen is no matter what the light is set to when "A" is pushed set it to that scene, not turn off then back on.

I hope this helps.

Hi busybaby,

The problem is that your button A is in the "On" state (for some reason) so it will toggle to Off first. If button A is never used to turn off a scene, please use Button Toggle Mode button (at the bottom of the main panel) to make this button non-Toggle On. This way, this button will always send on.

With kind regards,

Michel
