I am moving away from AT&T Digital Life which has 2 Yale ZWave locks integrated into the system.  I have set back to defaults but cannot enroll with my ISY Zwave network.  I have the 500 series chip and I have a difficult time getting my devices to pick it up 30 feet away in an open room.  Any ideas on what can be causing this or what I can do to resolve it?  Or are there other options for door locks to integrate with ISY?

Are there any hardwired zwave devices near the locks?

Have you tried removing, factory reseting and connecting?

I get a ZWave signal 2 rooms from the lock which is a plugable outlet, however again can't get the signal to go even 30 feet.

I have removed, re insterted and factory reset many times and same issue occurs.

Probably going to have issues until you put a wired device next to the battery device.

Personally I have switch or outlet within 2 ft of a battery device. No issues. My controller is 20ft away behind 3 walls in a 1930s home.

I have the ISY in my basement, right about it on the 1st floor I have an AC plugged device that has a button for one outlet and always on for the other outlet, then I have another 1 of those on the other side of that room, and then a repeater 1 room over that can't get a signal.  Even the 2 in the same room about 20 feet apart are not always working correctly.

I don't fully understand why this is the case, but I had to bring my lock quite close to the ISY (after factory resetting) to enroll it.  Once enrolled, it works fine at the installed location, 30 feet away separated by walls, but with a couple of z-wave devices in-between.  Enrolling the lock while installed did not work well for me.  This process was also required by a couple of z-wave switches I use.

Zwave requires (at least they used to) secure devices to be within 3 feet of the controller.

While you may have the 500 board, your locks are 300 which means that's the level your controller will be using.

Thank you for the help.  I thought I figured out it was because the locks were part of my Digital Life system from AT&T but after I took the lock apart and moved to where my ISY was it removed and enrolled fine.
