HTTRC Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 I have 5 incandescent light fixtures in my kitchen that are controlled via a 2477D switch. 2 of them have burned out, and I’m considering replacing all 5 with LED fixtures. However I’m concerned that I’m going to lose dimming functionality from the 2477D, as I’ve read that LED fixtures need special switches to dim or “remember” the dimming settings. I’m asking here, because undoubtedly some of you have already walked through this minefield before.
Brian H Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 One thing to check. Are the LED fixtures you are looking at. Rated to be dimmable as not all are.
tmorse305 Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 I have 4 under counter LED fixtures controlled by a 2477D. Dimming works just fine. However as Brian H points out it depends on the fixtures, some can't dim, others dim but buzz. Here is the fixture I'm using that works fine. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VYLPK42?th=1
