btreinders
The github page is not found. How do you configure the node server? Thank you! Link to comment
bpwwer
You go to the configuration page and enter your Emporia username and password and save. Link to comment

I did that and get this error No module named 'pyemvue' Edited February 27, 2022 by btreinders Link to comment
bpwwer
Looks like one of the dependencies can no longer be installed on a Polisy. It will take some work to figure out if this can still be supported or not. Link to comment

TJF1960
Hi @bpwwer, I was wondering if you were able to fix the Emporia node server on PG3? Am thinking about getting one, but whatever choice I make I would like it to be supported on IoP. Thanks! Tim Link to comment
bpwwer
No, there's nothing wrong with the node server, one of the python libraries it depends on won't install on a Polisy. I'll see if something can be done to get the library supported on the Polisy. Link to comment
bpwwer
I just pushed out version 1.0.3 of this node server. I think I managed to work around the problem with the library. 1 Link to comment

bpwwer
The store only updates automatically a couple of times a day. You can manually refresh the listing using the "Refresh Store" button. It's in the Production store. Link to comment

tazman
@bpwwer I installed the node server and made sure Poisy was up to date but I have a "1" for online, Kilowatt Hours keeps flashing between 0 and a number and Kilowatt Hours Today is at 0. VUE_5-10-2022_65900_PM.zip Link to comment
bpwwer
Try version 1.0.4. It should be better. Link to comment

tazman
@bpwwer Thank you the current KWH seems to be working for me now but the KWH today is showing what my Vue car charger used. It is also showing as connected now. Link to comment
bpwwer
It's display the "Main" channel data for both of those. So that kindof implies that your charger is considered the main channel for daily data? I don't really know. The only device I have has only the "Main" channel. Link to comment
TJF1960
Does this node server show data from all 16 C.T.'s if connected? Also, will it recognize the new smart plugs that Emporia sells now which also monitor power consumption? Thanks! Link to comment
bpwwer
No, it was written to work with this device: https://www.amazon.com/Connects-Electric-Metering-Burlington-Mountain/dp/B084T6HGNR/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3BJIJ2RUPH2JR&keywords=emporia+vue&qid=1652393069&sprefix=emporia+vue%2Caps%2C139&sr=8-3 Link to comment
tazman
I am using it with the Vue 2 which has the 16 ct's and today it is showing net production instead of the car charger which I have not used today. Link to comment
Kevin
I have 2 panels set up as 2 stand alone. when I set up the node server I get one node that flashes back and forth between the two readings Is there any way to configure it to work can I maybe create two accounts and run two copies of the node server? Link to comment
bpwwer
I have no idea. Maybe having two accounts would work. The VUE API isn't a public API and what we're using has been reverse engineered so there could be issues. Link to comment
Kevin
The two accounts work. I have the main account with both panels the main and my generator along with my solar panels giving me my total net. and another account with just my generator so I can shut down devices when I am on backup, and the load starts to get High. Thanks so much for all the work you do in supporting PG3 Kevin Link to comment
