Ok, I must be dumb (Programs not running)

Polisy v5.4.3 (UI same)
PLM is an Insteon 2448A7

Insteon devices all function perfectly using Admin Console, UD Mobile, and Alexa.

The simplest programs ever likely created work intermittently or fail most of the time.

Not sure why something this simple would not respond.  I have other examples, but this is about as "plain vanilla" as they come.

No, I did not RTFM, but this seems to be about as easy as things get.

If you do a "run then" and "run else" does it turn the light on/off?

Does the program summary page show the last time it ran (on its own, not from you doing a run then/else) and was that last run time appropriately true/false and at the correct time?

Also, I see you have set conditions for the program folder.  The green line on it means it is currently true.  So, what are those conditions and could they be false when the program is supposed to run.

My advise is don't use folder conditions as a beginner.  Advance to that in the intermediate to advanced levels of skill.

the folder "My Programs" has a folder condition.  it must be true for anything under it to run.

Thanks All.  I didn't even notice that I had folder conditions.  I must have inadvertently added a condition there when I was adding my first few programs.  We'll see how things go this evening.  I'll probably reboot as well.

if you haven't discovered what @apostolakisl is alluding too above, you can Right Click a program name and choose Run Then or Run Else to test those clauses.  If they don't work the first thing to look for is a folder condition anywhere above the program (folders can be nested, and folder conditions are inherited).  As I mentioned already stay away from folder conditions until you really understand how IF statements the ISY work.... there is a learning curve beyond simple time based conditions.

Yes @MrBill, I had found that previously.  I'm 99% sure it was that inadvertent condition on the folder.  I also just followed the recommendation I received from  @Michel Kohanim to abandon my static IP configuration that I assumed I would need for remote access to my IoP with NAT through my firewall and rebooted my Polisy.

Thanks again.

Much better to use the portal for remote access.  less than $1/month and if you're a new Polisy owner it comes with 2 years included.    That said, I do have an IP reservation configured via the router so that I never have to figure out what the IP is on the local network.

I would stick with static IP's (actually I would do DHCP with reserved address for Polisy set in your router).  It is good to have ISY/Polisy always at the same IP.  But as Mr Bill said, I would not open any ports in your router firewall.  The portal is very cheap and bypasses the risk of opening ports.  Especially now that Polisy will be the destination of that port forward and polisy I suspect could be more capable of wreaking havoc (vs ISY) if someone got control of it.

Good call @apostolakisl  I just switched to DHCP on the Polisy, but reserved the IP in my DHCP pool.  I did confirm that the programs are behaving now after removing my typo in a folder condition.
